🎉 Holiday Rates 🎉 Sitters may have a set minimum when considering working a holiday. With Thanksgiving Day approaching, we encourage families to offer a higher rate than usual for sitting service requests on this day. We are always happy to offer guidance on hourly rates to assist in securing the care your family needs. 🙌 #KeepCalmandNannyOn #Nanny #NannyJob #NannyLife #NannyJobs #NannyLifeIsTheBestLife #NannyAgency #NannySearch #AustinMoms #SanAntonioMoms #AustinNannies #SanAntonioNannies

This month and of course next month's are going to be really challenging due to rain and lot of festive holidays coming in. I have a work policy of giving off on 2 Saturdays of a month, which is very difficult in my profession as people reach out to lawyers mostly on weekends. I also ensure that I don't call my juniors when they are away from work. This month is challenging as I need to ensure that 1. I have to give additional holidays on account of festivals. 2. I need to ensure their safety when they report to work during rain, check how things are at their area and make plans for their comfort. 3. I need work a lot to modify work timings or allow them to work from home to avoid risky travel during rain. 4. I need to address power and network issues at office during rain and push deadlines. I need to keep thinking plan B to sure that my team doesn't waste their time and leave early as they complete work. 5. I need to answer clients who have urgencies and who come with short deadlines when there is lack of manpower and take up extra workload on my plate. 6. I need to accommodate leave or permissions from juniors at the last minute on account of water logging in their areas, lack of power and health issues during this climate. 7. After successfully all the above I need to scroll up so many social media posts that reads "seniors don't treat their Junior lawyers not treated well"😉 I wish to see posts that write about the otherside too in the future.😊 Stay safe people and as much as possible stay indoors. #Chennai #rain #October #lawyerlife

𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈: 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄 𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒔 The holiday season brings a familiar balancing act for those of us in public service. This year it’s especially true as many of us have to prepare for the upcoming legislative session that begins January 14th. I often think of my mother's words about the pressure to "make a happy Christmas" for the family. This is a sentiment that resonates deeply as we juggle increased workloads with cherished family traditions. As public servants, our service to the community doesn't pause for the holidays. My strategy? It’s compartmentalizing. I dedicate specific morning hours to work activities before my family wakes, preserving evenings for holiday moments. This approach has transformed how I manage both worlds. Through years of experience, I've learned that intentional planning makes both possible. It's not about choosing between work and family. It's about balance and creating space for both. We can honor our commitment to public service while preserving our wellbeing and family traditions. #WomenInGovernment #TexasLegislature #WorkLifeBalance #PublicService

“Local authorities grappling with holiday absence typically must rely on agency cover, which is notoriously expensive and slow to organise, causing disruption to clients and draining already stretched budgets.” One of our Co-founders Benjamin Weatherall comments on how to navigate care cover during busy holiday periods. Taking holiday is a necessity when it comes to working as a Care Professional. Working without breaks or no days off leads quickly to burn out, and without time to properly rest and relax, Care Professionals put both themselves and their clients at risk. Our Care Professionals are self-employed and manage their own schedules, giving them more freedom to make sure they are well rested and ready to take on new clients. Curam is available 24/7, so whenever holiday care cover is needed our Care Professionals are ready to help. Care Professionals on Curam can be contacted in real time, so no more waiting for a Care Professional to become available, with Curam you can find and hire a Care Professional in minutes. Working a holiday shift can be challenging, regardless of which holiday you celebrate. However, if you find yourself scheduled to work during the holidays this year, there are some positive aspects to consider. For emergency responders, the anticipation of holiday scheduling can be daunting. It's important to acknowledge your feelings—whether it's grief, sadness, or anger; these emotions are completely normal. Furthermore, it’s helpful to reframe your perspective on working the holiday shift. Here are some points to consider: 1. **You Are in Good Company:** There’s something to be said for spending the holiday with colleagues who understand what you’re going through. 2. **You Are Filling a Spot for Someone Else:** It’s true that someone has to be on duty. Take a moment to reflect on why you chose this field and feel proud of your role, especially on a significant day. 3. **External Gratification:** A universal human need is to feel recognized and appreciated. Civilians celebrating the holiday often express their gratitude with heartfelt thanks and acknowledgment. To better navigate the challenges of emergency response work and to access more free resources and information, check out YOU | ResponderStrong. It’s a free, confidential space for responders and their families to take charge of their well-being and excel both personally and professionally. https://lnkd.in/ei4t2sm #holidayseason #firstresponders

I'm just back from holiday, and it was absolute bliss! Rugged coastlines, beautiful walks, some history (castles!), some wildlife (puffins!), miles of beaches, great food, too much ice cream and - the icing on the welshcake - wonderful weather. It's so important to recharge your batteries. I didn't think about work, and didn't check in. And I knew nobody would contact me - time off is time off, and there's no fear of picking up the phone to take a photo, only to find a missed call or a message notification. Of course, I'd taken measures to have things covered while I was off, so I could switch off with a clear conscience. Sometimes social media leads me to believe that the majority of employers expect their staff to be available, even on annual leave. And I'm sure that there are plenty of us who find it almost impossible to switch off and just enjoy the break. It took me most of the day yesterday to work through my Inbox and get everything back up-to-date, but I'd blocked out my calendar to do just that. Should I consider myself lucky to be able to do this? Are you able to prioritise your personal time, or do you feel pressure to keep in touch even when your Out Of Office is on? Let us know if your summer holiday is likely to give you the R&R you deserve. #wellbeing #summerholiday #annualleave #hrconsultant P.S. Bonus points if you can tell me where I've been from my holiday snaps.

#WorkplaceDrama #VacationWars #HRIssues Hey everyone! I’m in a bit of a pickle at work, and I could really use your thoughts. Here’s the situation: my coworker, let’s call her Karen, has been making my work life pretty miserable. She’s not only been disrespectful with her comments, but she also seems to think she can dictate when vacations can be taken. 😩 So, here’s the crux: Can my employer actually force us to come to some sort of agreement over vacation days, or is that just not legal? I mean, it feels like I'm being backed into a corner where either I give up my family trip or let her have her way. This situation has me feeling utterly trapped and, honestly, a bit coerced. 😤 **Here’s what's been happening:** 🎄 I booked time off for Christmas in July, and it was approved. 🤝 Karen and I agreed she’d take Thanksgiving and I’d take Christmas. 📧 Fast forward to November: Karen changes her mind and emails the whole management team about her plans. 🗣️ When I reminded...
