✈️ Global air traffic is back on the right flight path, exceeding pre-pandemic levels. New data from the clever aviation analysts at Cirium has revealed the top 20 most connected airports in the world. 🇹🇷 Istanbul takes the top spot with 309 nonstop routes, thanks to the phenomenal growth of Turkish Airlines. 🇳🇱It’s followed by Frankfurt, Paris and our favourite big Western European hub, Amsterdam Schiphol. JetBlue is set to expand its transatlantic services by introducing daily flights from Boston Logan International Airport to Madrid, Spain, and Edinburgh, Scotland, starting May 22, 2025. This expansion increases JetBlue’s European destinations to 12, marking its inaugural entry into Southern Europe. The Boston-Edinburgh route will utilize the Airbus A321neo, while the Boston-Madrid service will operate with the Airbus A321LR. American Airlines is confident in transatlantic demand remaining strong next summer, especially to core leisure markets like Athens and Rome, SVP of Network Planning Brian Znotins told me. The airline will add five new transatlantic routes for summer 2025: • Chicago O'Hare-Madrid (complementing Iberia’s existing flight) from March • Philadelphia-Edinburgh and Milan Malpensa from May • Charlotte-Athens from June • Miami-Rome from July On American's Airbus A321XLR introduction, Znotins said the planes will be used to replace the A321T on premium transcontinental domestic flights first — and then introduced to transatlantic flights sometime after that. #airlines https://lnkd.in/eq4GSaG4
