Following a landmark groundbreaking ceremony earlier this week with representatives from Sinoe County, the highly anticipated construction has now advanced to the final phase of our Solar-Powered Oxygen installation in Greenville, Monrovia. We're kicking off with Step 1: implementing the drainage setup for the solar panel field, a crucial foundation for ensuring efficient and sustainable energy generation. This marks a significant stride forward in bringing clean, life-saving technology to the region. #RenewableEnergy #HealthcareInnovation #SustainableDevelopment

Scotland is now home to a UK first: a wastewater treatment plant that generates its own hydroelectricity 🌊⚡️ The project to install the energy-creating infrastructure at Hamilton Wastewater Treatment Words was completed late last year, and it's definitely worth shouting about. The plant uses an innovative mid-process hydroelectric turbine that's estimated to generate around 420,000 kWh of green electricity annually, offsetting about 14% of the site's energy needs. It should also help to save approximately 64 tonnes of carbon emissions each year. While most hydropower projects developed within the water industry use raw and clean water sources like rivers, this project shows the concept works on wastewater sites too. And it could pave the way for similar sustainable initiatives across the UK and beyond. Another step towards a greener future in wastewater management! #SustainableEnergy #WastewaterInnovation #EngineeringExcellence #PBJEngineering

🌱⚡ Whether you're crunching numbers or powering up tractors, the answer is clear: invest in solar and battery systems. The cost of power from the grid is $0.30/kWh, but with solar it plummets to just $0.06/kWh. That's $0.24/kWh that you could save every hour. It’s time to turn your farm into a powerhouse of efficiency and sustainability. Start saving the planet and your pennies💰💰 #FutureFarming #ElectricRevolution #NZ0 #nzfarming #electric #newzealand

Amazing. As a former rural county supervisor, I can attest to the impact Biden has already had on our infrastructure. Roads and bridges that have been neglected for decades are now updated, and can carry the equipment farmers need to keep producing food. (For many years, farmers have had to go miles out of their way to be able to find a bridge they can use to get to fields or to grain elevators.) Rural tourism entrepreneurs like me don't have to worry as much about customers popping tires on the way here! However, the general public doesn't really understand how roads are maintained or funded, let alone hidden infrastructure like clean water delivery systems or waste treatment, so I'm not sure the impact these investments have on public opinion/elections.

This full page advert appears in todays Scotsman. Its aim is to highlight the potential that Heat Highways offer in reaching #NetZero, achieve a #CircularEconomy, provide #energysecurity, grow the Economy and tackle #FuelPoverty. All we have to do is harvest the energy we already produce (industrial waste heat and curtailed wind electricity) by laying some pipes, ok, a lot of pipes! But that's not too difficult and the rewards for the Country and the Local Community are fantastic. Its also not a new idea, Scandinavian countries have been doing it for years. So why not and what's the alternative? SAV Systems EnergiRaven East Lothian Council

Salix decarbonisation funding – are you ready? Phase 4 of the Salix Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) will make £1.17 billion of Government funding available to public sector bodies for heat decarbonisation and associated energy efficiency and building fabric enhancements between 2025 and 2028. We are expecting more information and guidance to be available in the coming weeks. Decarbonising the way buildings are heated is among the many challenges in the UK’s journey to meeting its 2050 Net Zero target. A significant number of public sector buildings rely on fossil fuel-based heating and expert skills are needed so you can take the next steps towards securing funding to implement a robust heat decarbonisation plan. If you’re a public sector organisation looking for funding to decarbonise, we can guide you through the complex process. You can find more information and read the full article here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eSdmHacR Chris Rogers MRICS #Salix #PSDS #Sustainability #Decarbonisation #NetZero

We are continuing to push ahead with our low carbon agenda to bring forward high quality large scale projects across the UK, and support the Government's ambitions to build more low-carbon electricity infrastructure and their commitment to strong economic growth. At a key point in the year for the Farming community it is important to remember only 0.3% of arable land in the UK is needed to meet the government’s 70GW solar target, much less than the 2.2% of arable land used for bioenergy in 2023. #netzero #lowcarbonenergy #ukfarming

"If you're proactive, you focus on preparing. If you're reactive, you end up focusing on repairing." - John C. Maxwell This adage rings true for low-carbon construction. With each project, developers have a crucial decision to make: future-proof now or deep retrofit later. Tim discussed the role of geothermal as a 'quick fix', in a webinar hosted by the Clean Air Partnership. Getting it right, however, depends on practical experience. Tim's presentation used project-focused examples to demonstrate the financial, spatial and CSR benefits to installation. Learn more 👇 https://hubs.la/Q02vzhhg0
