🍪 Trans-fatty acids (TFAs), also known as trans fats, pose significant health risks when consumed regularly. These fats are artificially created through hydrogenation, a process that converts liquid oils into solid fats and enhances food texture and shelf life. Despite these advantages in food production, trans fats are linked to numerous adverse health effects. They raise LDL (bad) cholesterol levels while lowering HDL (good) cholesterol, thereby increasing the risk of coronary heart disease. Additionally, consumption of trans fats is associated with inflammation, insulin resistance, and an elevated risk of type 2 diabetes. The World Health Organization (WHO) and other health authorities recommend minimizing trans fat intake to mitigate these health risks, advocating for policies and regulations to limit their presence in food products globally.
Nearly 300,000 people die each year from consuming #TransFats found in everyday foods like cookies, cakes, and pizza 🍪🍰🍕. Today, 3.7 billion people 🌐 are better protected thanks to policies that reduce or eliminate trans fat from the food supply 👉bit.ly/4ePouXw

Consistently Invest in Your Health, Like Your Business, for the Long-Term Unlock In the business world, we know the importance of long-term investment. But how often do we apply that same principle to our health? --------------- Look at the success in Blue Zones, where people live longer, healthier lives. The secret? Getting back to basics. --------------- Just as whole foods in the form of plants nourish our bodies, investing in relationships with your team, customers, and consumers nourishes your business. It's not rocket science, but a methodical approach to health can be your jet fuel over time. --------------- Shortcuts are tempting but often lead to nowhere. Consistency is challenging, but it doesn't have to be. Over time, being consistent with your health will lead to your greatest unlock. --------------- Take a cue from sports franchises that incentivize athletes to live healthy. Encourage your team to prioritize their health too. When you invest in your health and your team's well-being, you're not just building a successful business—you're building a sustainable future. Let's commit to the basics and unlock the long-term potential in both our personal and professional lives. #cultureFIRSTleadership

There’s a bit of truth in a number of statements below. Okinawa is actually lost its position as a blue zone due to the western dietary influence . The evidence however, is overwhelming in the scientific evidence- driven medical community that plant centered diet doesn’t just extend life 10 additional years but does so with less disease and medication burden. However, social connectedness, i.e. close family, ties, physical activity, preferably outdoors and restorative sleep are also critically important influences. Fish is multifactorial; farmed fish is full of toxins, and increasingly all fish appears to be saturated with microplastics with hormonal adverse effects, not to mention mercury, PCBs, and dioxin. Plant-based foods and even “organic” produce is not free from toxins and contamination. Leading a healthy lifestyle requires a multifactorial approach and awareness and is not a perfect science, but taking one dogmatic side of “ eat whatever you want , it doesn’t matter” is not the answer either, and why the US mortality is #17 or worse in world standing and for the first time mortality in the US nationally has dipped. Ignoring these facts only jeopardizes you and your family’s health, and none of us are perfect at this…

One of the things about being on a Low Carb journey is all the having to “translate” what the manufacturers and government call “food” into what they actually are. So, here’s a handy guide - how can it help you? ____________________________ Protein Bars = Sweets and chocolate bars Green Smoothie = Oxalate bomb Fruit = Sugar loaded fibre bags Pancakes = Discs of sugar White Rice = Grains of sugar Pasta = Strings of sugar Beer = Liquid cake Bread (wholemeal or white) = Unsweetened cake Fake meat = Processed chemical & sugar filled junk #lowcarbintheuk #healthyeating #HOPEprotocol #lowcarb #lifetransformation
