At the core of ROYC Group lies our exceptional team, embodying the very essence of our identity. Meet Arash Hosseini, our dedicated Investment Professional based at our Stockholm office. 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 I began my studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, pursuing a master's degree in chemical engineering - I've always been interested in solving complex challenges, which in many cases means breaking down a problem to its smallest components and putting it together in an innovative way. During my internship, working at a combined heat & power plant for Fortum, I realized that much of the decision making was driven by the energy market - which sparked my interest for finance, driving me to also pursue a business degree at Stockholm University. I joined Nordea as a graduate on the trading floor, and had my last role within the leveraged finance team before joining ROYC Group. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗻 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗢𝗬𝗖? Our offices are filled with passionate colleagues from multidisciplinary backgrounds and you learn a lot from collaborating with such a mix of perspectives. One thing I love is the element of surprise – you never quite know what your next task will be, which keeps things exciting and challenging. It keeps me motivated and always ready to tackle whatever comes my way. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂? I find my drive in challenging the status quo and seeking better, more efficient ways of doing business. Our theme was “escapism”. Escaping the confines of how we’ve been operating for many years and revolutionising us for future success. In a market that is dealing with challenges, escaping the old ways of doing things, leaning into the future, and building a company where innovation and AI aren’t just ideas, they are a reality, is imperative for success. It’s not rocket science 🚀 What a fantastic few months of consultancy and training working so to incredible organisations both internationally and in the UK. The focus has been to develop some of the brightest minds across various industries including energy, defence, technology and professional services. It’s been a privilege to play an active role in the career development of such extraordinary talent. And when people use the term - it’s is not rocket science - in Thales UK it actually is! 🚀 This quote stuck with me after seeing it written on the wall of their innovation centre. And the most incredible thing about the work I do, is having the opportunity to work with great people across multiple businesses and sectors - its truly fascinating. Learning and Talent Development is fundamentally the same in most organisations. Although, the nuances that affect relevancy, direct application and results are often very different due to industry and culture. This is what makes my work so varied, challenging and interesting. Our Lufthansa Group ProTeam trainees of Generation 37 together with several management representatives traveled to Zurich as part of their #ProInnovation days to work alongside leading companies in setting the course for sustainable aviation in the future. 🌍✈️ The goal of this journey was to gain deeper insights into groundbreaking technologies and innovations driving change in the industry — from eco-friendly engines to direct CO₂-capture from the air. At Dufour Aerospace, we were impressed by their tilt-wing technology, which focuses on efficient, hybrid flight solutions, while CELLSIUS inspired us with projects like the electric e-Sling and hydrogen-based concepts. Another highlight was the visit at Climeworks: their approach of CO₂-Capture technologies underscores how partnerships and innovations can sustainably transform the aviation sector. We concluded our journey in a panel discussion at SWISS International Airlines headquarters alongside industry experts from CELLSIUS, Kearney, Verve Ventures, Climeworks, and Lufthansa Group about the opportunities and challenges in the topic of sustainable aviation.
