Happy Halloween 2024! 🎃👻 As you get ready for spooky fun this year, here are a few accessibility tips to make trick-or-treating more inclusive for everyone: • Not everyone can enjoy candy 🍬—so consider having non-edible treats on hand! Think stickers, pencils, crayons, or small toys. Keep these goodies in a separate bowl from the candy for easy access. • Some trick-or-treaters may be older than expected, but that doesn’t mean they’re any less excited! Halloween is for everyone, so share the treats with a smile. • Some trick-or-treaters might not be able to see what you’re offering. Take a moment to describe the fun treat you’re giving—it makes the experience even better! • Communication comes in many forms. Be patient and understanding, as not everyone may communicate in the same way. Your kindness will mean the world to the kids and their caregivers. 💖 Wishing you all a fun, spooky, and inclusive Halloween! 🎃 Source: https://bit.ly/45Ry06D Photo description: black background, spider web graphic in the top left, skeleton in the bottom right, photo of Keith dressed as a pirate in the middle, orange text that reads "Happy Halloween from Ability Together"

🎃 Halloween Safety Tips for Families 🎃 Here at K-Line, we care about our community and want to share some tips to ensure a fun and secure Halloween for everyone. 1. Costume Safety: Choose costumes that are bright and visible. Consider adding reflective tape to ensure kids are seen by drivers. Masks can obstruct vision, so opt for face paint instead. 2. Trick-or-Treating Together: Encourage families to go out together. Set a safe route in well-lit neighborhoods and establish a meeting point in case anyone gets separated. 3. Road Awareness: Remind children to look both ways before crossing the street and to use sidewalks whenever possible. Parents should supervise their kids while crossing. 4. Candy Check: Always check candy before letting kids indulge. Discard any unwrapped or suspicious treats to ensure safety. 5. Emergency Contacts: Equip kids with an emergency contact and teach them how to reach an adult if they feel unsafe. At K-Line, we believe in community safety and hope these tips help make your Halloween a joyful occasion. Let’s celebrate responsibly! Wishing everyone a spooky, safe, and fun Halloween! 🎉👻 #HalloweenSafety #CommunityCare #FamilyFun #KLine
