I’ve been reflecting on a common challenge in hiring: some candidates possess exceptional communication skills and confidence but haven’t completed their undergraduate degrees due to various circumstances. It’s a sad reality that many organizations have strict criteria requiring graduation. I believe we should consider the potential and skills of these individuals beyond their formal education. Bosses are firing Gen Z grads just months after hiring them—here’s what they say needs to change : This was bound to happen sooner than later. I’m astonished at the kind of attitude, limitations and rigidity I have seen in the Gen Z Grads. Have came across recent Grads who would justify themselves a great fit for a job role which needs 15+ year architectural expertise ,they need to understand, experience comes with real world exposure and just not by securing Degrees. Just by doing a Masters or passing a certification you can’t expect to get higher pays ,better roles and develop a “KNOW IT ALL” attitude. I’m not saying there are exceptions, but they are few and far between. There is always a learning trajectory and a process to everything and you can’t simply jump the ship ! The perception of being an “OMNISCIENT” never works for even the best of all.
