Golden Word from our very own Giovanna Salas "Please refrain from requesting free tickets solely based on the perception of my kindness or my role as one of the event producers. It’s crucial to recognize the collaborative effort of the entire team involved in organizing an event, from performances and models to designers, logistics, decorations, travel, maintenance, chefs and all associated expenses. Every detail, down to plates, glasses, cleaning supplies, and print materials, along with the hard work of laborers in various areas, contributes to the event’s success. The support of sponsors and attendees who genuinely care about the event’s purpose is vital for its success. When you purchase a ticket to any event, you’re investing in your experience. Just like attending a Taylor Swift concert brings joy, the events I produce or partner with in entertainment and fashion aim to bring people together for networking and opportunities. Building a network of professionals in the industry and creating opportunities for connection takes years of effort. I am selective in my work and partnerships, and I highly value respect for myself, my team, and everyone involved in an event. Requesting free tickets without considering the effort and resources involved undermines the professionalism of myself and my team. If you’re able to support events by purchasing tickets, please do so and view it as an investment. Have you read this month’s Land & Business magazine from The CLA? 📰 Englefield House and the wider Estate is featured as a case study about diversification for rural businesses, highlighting the Heritage Live Festivals summer concerts as an example of a unique social experience and commercial opportunity for Estates. Our Estates Director, Edward Crookes and Events Manager, Peter Carson, spoke with Jasmin McDermott at The CLA about the intricacies of planning these large events, the importance of working with an organiser who is aligned with the Estate’s values, as well as the benefits these types of events have for those who live locally and work at Englefield. Edward said: “The filming and events operation forms an important part of the estate’s enterprises in diversifying our sources of income; they make a vital contribution to the costs of maintaining the historic fabric of Englefield House, the park and gardens. “They are hard work for the team, but also great fun and a busy events calendar enriches estate life for those who live and work here.” To read more about this year’s summer concerts, click here: https://lnkd.in/dcKzZYWU The full CLA article can be viewed here: https://lnkd.in/eW4rFdbP #EnglefieldEstate #EnglefieldHouse #RuralBusiness #LandedEstate #Diversification #EventsVenue

As Toronto gets ready for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, this timely article from Canadian Security provides some information for consideration to anyone looking to enjoy the festivities. (https://lnkd.in/gKb76RJP) This fact sheet from the City of Toronto provides an in-depth view into everything from the economic impact of this tour, traffic and transit considerations, parking, closures and much more. (https://lnkd.in/ge3eFeK3) Whether you (or someone you know) plans on attending this concert, the related events, or are even thinking of being in the downtown core during the six concert dates, consider the following: 1. Situational Awareness: The tour is expected to bring in upwards of 500,000+ visitors to the city over the course of the tour. While I'm sure the vast majority of these visitors are super-enthused fans just looking to have a good time, large crowds can provide vulnerabilities. Be aware of your surroundings and remain observant. 2. Create a Plan: If you are attending the events with friends or loved ones, decide on an emergency meeting spot in the event that you get separated and cellular service is unreliable. 3. Pack your Patience: Anticipate congestion in everything from street traffic, to transit, to restaurants and the like. Give yourself lots of time to navigate the city and get to where you're going safely and on time.
As Toronto enters its Taylor Swift era, experts say crowd safety depends on planning
