Has 2024 been flying by as fast for you as it has for me? It's already June 25th! If you celebrate Christmas that means just 6 more months until the holiday season again. Have you ever explored your relationship with time? Do you rush through life going from one thing to the next? I know I do at times. Or do you sometimes rush to spend time on activities that waste time? Is your calendar mostly filled with things you like doing, things you would rather not, or things you feel you should do? What if you were to be more present and make conscious choices as to how to spend your time? Would that change how fast it's going? These are all things to reflect on. No answer is right or wrong but feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

**** End of the year practices ***** For many years, as the festive season approaches and the year draws to a close, I have embraced a cherished tradition with my team—and now with my clients. We gather for a moment of reflection and connection. Together, we revisit the year that has passed, exploring both the professional and personal milestones that have shaped our journey. We celebrate the wins—taking time to acknowledge achievements, big and small, and truly savor the progress made. It’s a chance to honor the effort, dedication, and resilience that made these successes possible. Then, with honesty and humility, we examine what didn’t go as well. With a hand on our hearts, we reflect on what could have been done better and identify the lessons these experiences have taught us. This is not a space for criticism but for growth and learning. Finally, we turn our gaze forward. With an actual pen and paper in hand, we commit our goals for the coming year to paper. This tangible act, combined with a moment of visualization and belief in these aspirations, transforms them from fleeting thoughts into clear, actionable intentions. This tradition is powerful. It closes the year with gratitude and reflection, while paving the way for the next chapter with clarity and purpose. It’s a ritual that blends celebration, learning, and hope—setting a positive, intentional tone for the year ahead. What traditions do you uphold for this time? Let's share! www.exzellia.com

As another year draws to a close, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment - a time to look back on what we’ve accomplished, celebrate our successes, and perhaps reflect on lessons learned from opportunities that slipped away. This season offers us a gift: a pause. A moment to breathe, to gather ourselves, and to recalibrate. Yet how often do we truly turn our gaze forward? How often do we dare to dream about the road ahead, to reflect on whether the steps we take today will shape the future we long to see? As 2024 comes to an end, we stand at the quarter-mark of the 21st century. It’s a milestone that invites us to think big, to dream boldly, and to imagine a world transformed. During this festive season, I hope each of you finds a quiet moment to pause and imagine the future - not just as it might be, but as it could be. Instead of a traditional Christmas card, I share with you a series of [imperfect] images - visions crafted through DALL-E. They depict our progress so far this century and a hopeful glimpse into life in 2050, where the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals have been fully realised. What do you see? What stories do they conjure? May they inspire us all to dream bigger, act bolder, and journey into the future with purpose and hope. It’s as if we’re on a timer that’s running out. We’re caught in a flurry of decisions: Christmas gifts, guest lists, juggling events, and crafting the perfect holiday menu. We’re squeezing in last-minute meetings, trying to tie up loose ends, hoping to wrap the year in a neat red bow. Yet even as we focus on the present, our minds are already racing ahead to 2025. We’re boarding trains of thought that take us into the future, fueled by hopes that next year will be different—that our goals will stick, our resolutions will bear fruit. But amid the rush, it’s easy to forget this: not everything needs to happen now….Some things CAN WAIT. In the pursuit of wrapping up the year perfectly, we risk stretching ourselves thin, missing out on the moments that matter most. The gift of presence often carries more weight than a perfectly tied bow. So as the noise of this season grows louder, take a moment to pause. Ask yourself: What truly needs my attention right now? What can wait? Slow down. Breathe. Choose intention over urgency. The year’s end doesn’t have to be a sprint to the finish line; sometimes, the greatest progress comes when we give ourselves permission to pause. Here’s to ending the year with clarity, care, and a renewed focus on prioritising rest.

As the year winds down and the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to reflect on all the challenges we’ve overcome, the progress we’ve made, and the opportunities ahead. 🎄✨ The end of the year isn’t just about closing out projects or hitting deadlines—it’s a moment to pause, appreciate the journey, and set our sights on what’s next. In IT, that might mean clearing out inefficiencies, strengthening foundations, or making space for innovation in the new year. Just like decorating a tree, it’s about aligning the essentials and adding the touches that make everything shine. This season reminds us of the importance of connection—whether it’s with family and friends or within the systems and teams that keep everything running. At Pharos, we’re grateful for the opportunity to help organizations streamline and secure their environments, empowering teams to focus on what truly matters. As you celebrate the holidays and prepare for 2025, take a moment to recognize the hard work you and your team have done and dream big about what’s next. Let’s make the coming year brighter, smarter, and more impactful together. Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a fresh start in the year ahead! 🌟🎁
