Years ago, I started doing something small with my team that led to big results: Capturing every single “thank you” we received. It could be an email, a quick comment after a meeting, or even just a passing compliment. At the time, I had no idea how important it would become. Fast forward to those tough days—when it feels like every step forward is an uphill battle. That’s when I’d pull out those thank-you notes. As reminder that the work we do, even when it feels thankless, actually makes a difference. Every acknowledgment, every thank you, strengthens the connection between the work we do and why we do it. That connection is what sets the best teams apart—they know their efforts aren’t just tasks, they’re contributions to something bigger. If you want to build that kind of team, start by doing this: 1.Capture those moments of gratitude. ➔ Every “thank you” is a reminder that the work you’re doing has real impact. 2.Use them when things get tough. ➔When your team feels drained, these reminders help them reconnect with their purpose. 3.Share the stories. ➔Show your team how their work is making a difference—how it’s more than just a job. We don’t always see the ripple effects of our work, but those “thank you’s” are proof it matters. Capture those moments. They remind us that it’s not just about results—it’s about the lives we touch. That’s what turns good teams into the best teams—staying connected to purpose.

My challenge this week for inspiring your team and building culture: Celebrate your team! And don’t overthink it. There are a ton of quick, easy, not super expensive ways to do this. Check out these ideas and add at least one of them to your calendar: ⬇️ 1. Order lunch for everyone. 2. Serve together at a local food bank, or nursing home, or create care bags to send out. 3. Have a party – find an excuse, and go for it. 4. Give them a gift. 5. Take someone out to lunch. 6. Invite their families to a picnic, dinner, or other activity. 7. Get active together through a race or 5K, and cover registration fees. 8. Have an awards show and make people feel extra special. 9. Get together for happy hour at a local spot. 10. Have a contest – the options are endless. Those are a few ideas off the top of my head, and I bet you can come up with more that fit your team and your culture, too. I love new ideas, so share below. ⬇️

Important post on important topic🤝
With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it's the perfect time to reflect on the role that gratitude plays in the business world. We’ve learned that showing appreciation isn’t just a nice gesture—it’s a cornerstone of building stronger, long-lasting relationships with our clients, partners, and team members. In today’s business environment, it’s easy to get caught up in chasing the next goal or deadline. But pausing to recognize the people who make it all possible is what truly drives success. When we express gratitude, it fosters trust, loyalty, and collaboration—whether it's celebrating a client's milestones or recognizing a colleague’s hard work behind the scenes. At JF Media, we’re committed to creating a culture of gratitude. We believe that acknowledging the effort and dedication of our team helps fuel the creativity and passion that our clients rely on. Similarly, we make it a priority to regularly thank our clients and collaborators for trusting us with their projects. These simple acts of appreciation go a long way in nurturing meaningful relationships and creating an environment where everyone feels valued. As Thanksgiving approaches, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this year. Whether you’re a long-time client, a new partner, or part of our amazing team, we’re grateful for your continued support and collaboration. Together, we’ve accomplished so much, and we look forward to achieving even more in the future. Here’s to the power of gratitude—and to building even stronger relationships as we head into the holiday season and beyond.

Giving gratitude away isn’t just for the holiday season—it’s a strategy that builds loyalty, pride, and long-lasting connections. Yet, sometimes recognition becomes an afterthought. So, let me ask: who are you grateful for in your business, and when’s the last time you told them? Here are three top priorities to consider: 1. Platinum Clients Who are your star clients—the ones who are easy to work with, bring referrals, and leave glowing testimonials? Recognizing their effort not only builds loyalty but also strengthens the connection to your business. It’s a win-win! 2. Resources & Strategic Partners Your vendors and partners are the unsung heroes who help you meet deadlines, pivot when needed, and make things happen behind the scenes. These people make you look like a rock star, so don’t forget to thank them! 3. Key Employees & Business Partners Who has your back day in and day out? Showing appreciation for those who show up consistently is vital. It’s rare these days, but essential to maintaining the quality of your brand. Remember, what’s rewarded is repeated. And while the 4th quarter may be busy (you know I’m not a fan of the ‘busy’ word), there’s always time to recognize those who help you deliver world-class results. Want to create a culture of gratitude in your business? Book a discovery call with Candace, and let’s make it happen together! Everyone, take out your notepad: Small gestures count! What happened? While in my hotel room, I left a thank you card and a little gift for the cleaning staff: Effort on my end: 𝟳$ Impact on cleaning staff: 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 Here is why you should show gratitude frequently: • 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗲: Recognizing hard work boosts engagement • 𝗙𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: Appreciation creates a culture of respect • 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀: Your actions can encourage others to show gratitude as well In every role, there is an opportunity to uplift those around us. Let’s lead by example and show more appreciation inside and outside of work. When was the last time you said thank you to someone? Please re-post if you think we should say thank you more often.
