Some days ago, I spoke with a CEO who was struggling with a familiar feeling: 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘮. Endless to-do lists, packed days, and still falling behind. Despite putting in countless hours, he wasn't reaching the projects that could drive his business forward. 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿? I asked, “What would you accomplish if you had just one extra hour each day?” His response hit me: “I’d finally get to the work that actually matters.” That conversation taught me a hard truth: Most leaders don’t just need to save time—they need to reclaim it. Without the right strategies, you’re likely spending hours on tasks that don’t move the needle, letting high-impact projects fall by the wayside. So, I researched and gathered 5 strategies that don’t just focus on doing more, but on doing what matters most. 📍 Use Fewer Apps, Not More: Too many tools create chaos. Streamline with just 1-2 essential apps to cut clutter and get clarity. Less is more when it comes to tools. Simplify, and you’ll be more productive. 📍Prioritize Single-Tasking: Multitasking costs you more than you realize. Batch similar tasks and handle one at a time to get deeper, faster results. Single-tasking isn’t old-fashioned; it’s a high-performance habit. 📍Take Imperfect Action: Waiting for perfection? You’re 'dulling'. Start small, take quick actions, and build momentum that leads to progress. The fastest path to productivity? Stop planning and start taking action. 📍Batch Routine Tasks: Without structure, small tasks consume your day. Block dedicated time for routine tasks so they don’t disrupt your flow. Don’t measure productivity by hours. Measure it by results and impact. 📍Delegate Strategically: Holding onto every task? You’re missing opportunities. Offload low-impact tasks and focus on the decisions only you can make. Success doesn’t mean doing it all; it means getting it done right. Imagine how much more you could accomplish if you reclaimed your time for what matters most. One of my favourite development models, shared with me many years ago by the wonderful Lucy F., is about stretching outside your comfort zone into your dynamic zone—the place where you flourish, where more creativity occurs, and where you challenge yourself to be better (and often feels a little scary!). This week, I’ve been reflecting on that dynamic zone as I’ve dedicated a fair bit of time to my lesser-utilised skill of business development. It’s a bit more challenging for me because, while HR is my bread and butter, business development requires a whole new mindset. To help myself, I've made a conscious effort to set aside dedicated time (and commit myself to using that time effectively). I’ve been mindful of my environment, ensuring it helps with creativity and more innovation. I’ve also had to remind myself that this is a longer burn. As someone who likes to deliver, this shift requires patience, persistence and a focus on the bigger picture of Blue Tree Consulting (UK)'s growth strategy. From past experiences, I’ve learned that the more I use and develop this skill, the more it becomes second nature. Eventually, my comfort zone expands, only for a new challenge to come along and propel me back into the dynamic zone! Anyone else feeling the 'dynamic zone' at the moment? #HR #BusinessDevelopment #GrowthMindset #CareerJourney #ProfessionalDevelopment

When people sign up to our programs or newsletter we ask them WHY, over the last few months we collected a few thousand data points and we ran them through an Ai model to see what those mean reasons and examples were…really interesting! See below if you feel any of the below kinda represents you! The video is a snippet of my Shake Up program intro! “The Moment” I talk about is when I realised I needed to change. It was significant and became the catalyst to rethink the way I was going about my work and my life! I wish people didn’t wait for those significant moments before they do something about it it's way harder and sometimes too later - If you are curious DM me and I can send some more info on how I did it…there’s a free model, a self paced program and a cohort based course. Catalysing Positive and Impactful Change Through an Interconnected Business Ecosystem.. In today’s rapidly changing world, balancing volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) is crucial for optimising performance. When evaluating why a business, team, or individual isn't reaching their boundless potential, it's important to move beyond transactional and reactive solutions that lead to continued disconnection and inconsistent results. Instead, consider a holistic approach that views the individual, the team, and the entire business as an interconnected ecosystem. This ensures everyone not only survives but optimally thrives together, leading to enhanced positivity and engagement, creativity, innovation, efficiency, productivity, and sustainable growth. The Interconnected Business Ecosystem: A Multidimensional Approach Here’s one aspect of the approach: 1. Neurobiology of Adaptation: Understanding how the brain responds to new situations is key. Our brains are wired to resist disruptions to familiar patterns. By leveraging insights from neuroscience, we can design an optimally thriving checklist that helps individuals and teams adapt more effectively. Deploying an adaptive mindset, critical thinking skills, intrinsic motivators, and balancing self-interest with common interest are essential components of achieving optimal performance. 2. Individual Level: Adaptation starts with the individual. Each person in the business has unique cognitive and emotional responses to new situations. Encouraging individuals to not just do their job but to find ways to improve it can lead to increased engagement, creativity, and overall performance. This shift can tip the balance towards the challenge-skills sweet spot. 3. Team Dynamics: New initiatives impact team dynamics significantly. An optimally thriving team during these times hinges on a shared purpose, clear goals, equal participation, and open communication. Cultivating a culture of trust, empathy, and active listening ensures teams navigate new situations smoothly. 4. Total Business Impact: Aligning individual and team efforts with the strategic goals of the business is essential. Creating an environment that balances individual and team efforts optimises performance and drives creativity and innovation. From Surviving to Optimally Thriving By viewing your business as a unified, interconnected system, you unlock endless opportunities for adaptability, creativity, and innovation. This holistic approach facilitates a seamless transition from merely surviving to optimally thriving, benefiting individuals, teams, and the entire business. Only here we can collectively shine our brightest, feeling and performing at our best. How does your business ensure all levels are optimally thriving together? Share your thoughts below. #BeeFormless #CatalystForPositiveImpact #InterconnectedEcosystem #HighFlow #OptimallyThrive

Sometimes we get a little too comfortable in life , and need to assess how we are currently living life. If you are someone who wants to change, I truly hope this post will inspire you to get uncomfortable and mix things up. ⬇️ Below is a picture of Milosh my co-worker for the past 4.5 years. It’s shows comfort and showcases why comfort feels good 😊. THE WHY ➡️ When we get comfortable, we need to set new goals and break out of old patterns. We need to look at what really fuels us and what will enable our growth. Therefore it was time for me to shed my old skin of employee and brace entrepreneurship. I couldn’t be happier launching The Candidate Journey and creating the space for individuals to ask questions , write and elevate organizations together. I struggled with being comfortable in my Director level and VP People roles for the last few years. What I didn’t realize is how much of my role was operations , marketing, sales and securing funding whether non-diluted or venture/ angel. With effectively looking at my competencies and mapping out my skills I realized I put myself into my HR Box , which meant my pay reached a sealing and I was going into companies under the same title. The past 6 + months I’ve analyzed what I was good at, did therapy to understand what’s next and now want to take the steps to being an entrepreneur & fractional growth advisor. I love scaling and building organizations with leaders who are human-centric and get it. I have chosen not to work with people who mistreat employees & create toxic workplaces. Which means I created a system to identify toxic workplaces and behavioural patterns prior to joining an organization. I’m happy to give this tool kit and launch it on my platform for anyone who wants to end up in an amazing environment. Far too much suffering has happened over the past 3 years and the companies doing the employee experience will be highlighted. So cheers to outgrowing our comfort , getting comfortable with the uncomfortable and trying something new. Let’s do this LinkedIn #workplace #culture #2024growth #workshops #elevated #toolkits #experiences

Beyond the Job Description: Unveiling Real Company Dynamics Before Your Big Yes 👀 Ever felt that rush of landing a new job, only to discover the reality is quite different from what you expected? I’ve been there more than once! 🎢 Startups: A Double-Edged Sword The startup world is full of energy and promises of rapid growth. But, as I learned the hard way, it's not always what it seems, especially in companies with a top-down structure where everything depends on the owner. At a 3D architecture firm, for instance, I was excited until I had to handle accounting without the right tools. Thankfully, a flexible boss allowed me to bring in what was needed, turning a potential disaster into a quite manageable situation. 🛠️ Insider Insights: Your Secret Weapon A game-changing tip? Speak with someone on the inside. Insiders who work closely with the leadership every day can give you the real scoop on the company's operations and culture. This kind of firsthand insight can dramatically shape your decision-making process. 🕵️♂️ A Lesson in Flexibility Over Rigidity In another role at an IT company, what started as a marketing and business development position quickly shifted to admin when a coworker left. When I suggested bringing in my tools to enhance efficiency, the idea was unfortunately rejected. Here, Pareto's Principle played out in real-time: I spent 80% of my time on tasks that produced only 20% of the results. The company’s late realization of needing improvements only came when I was on my way out, highlighting the need for proactive change. 🔄 Key Takeaways for Your Career Journey: - Reality vs. Expectation: Dig deeper than the job description. - Flexibility and Innovation: Assess if the company culture supports growth through new ideas. - Resource Accessibility: Make sure you have what you need to succeed. The right tools are crucial for professional growth and your well-being. Ready for more insights like these? Follow for regular updates and connect with me for a deeper discussion on navigating company cultures. Let’s make your next job move your best one yet! 🌟 And remember, always read the book, not just the cover! #CareerInsights #JobSearchTips #CompanyCulture #InsideScoop #RealTalk

Here's my 2024 LinkedIn Rewind, by Coauthor.studio! Two years ago, I resigned with nothing but a belief that there had to be a better way to support teams through change. Some days, I wasn't sure I could make rent—let alone build a meaningful consulting practice. Today, Project Solved isn't just surviving; we're transforming how organizations approach team dynamics and change management. 2024 was about turning uncertainty into intentional growth. Here's how: **Certification as Transformation** Obtaining the DiSC, Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team, and Trauma Informed Workplace Practitioner certification wasn't just a professional milestone—it was a commitment to understand the deeper human dynamics driving organizational change. When teams carry invisible emotional backpacks and don’t know how they work best together, traditional change management falls short. **From Home Office to Dedicated Space** Moving into our first official Project Solved office wasn't just about square footage. It was about creating a physical manifestation of our belief that strong teams require intentional investment. What I've learned: Change management isn't about perfect plans. It's about understanding human complexity, creating psychological safety, and supporting teams through genuine transformation. For every leader feeling stuck, every organization struggling with team dynamics—your challenges aren't obstacles. They're invitations to reimagine how we work together. To my clients and my growing network: thank you for trusting Project Solved to navigate change, one human connection at a time. See you in 2025. #LinkedInRewind #2024Wrapped #ChangeManagement
