Excited to be attending the The Conference Board DEI conference this week, where I'll have the privilege of hearing insights from industry leaders like my KPMG US colleagues, Elena Richards and Keith Hines. They'll share invaluable perspectives on the importance of collaboration between #DEI and #supplierdiversity in today's corporate landscape. In a world where diversity is not just a buzzword but a crucial component of success, Elena and Keith will dig into why fostering a diverse strategy remains paramount. Diversity in our people and with our #suppliers brings multifaceted perspectives that propel organizations forward, from driving #innovation, economic resilience that enhances portfolio of opportunities for our people, citizens and the #community. Moreover, as we navigate an increasingly interconnected global marketplace, embracing diversity isn't just a moral imperative—it's a strategic advantage. Organizations prioritizing DEI through an economic value lens will easily identify the natural synergies that a strong procurement and diverse supplier strategy will afford. Inclusive cultures where every voice is heard and valued fosters employee engagement and retention and drives business #performance. I look forward to gaining valuable insights from Elena and Keith's session and engaging in meaningful discussions in the sessions and afterwards! #KPMGESG #Diversity #Equity #Inclusion #Leadership #Culture #supplierdiversity #inclusivesustainability

Join us for our next Leadership Impact Series, DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION (DEI) AS A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE ? on April 23 10am EST, for thought provoking discussions among our expert panelists, Marcelle Laliberté, Dr., Sema Burney, MBA, Jaxa Gohil and Flavian Rhode. This panel discussion will explore DEI as a competitive advantage and address some of the growing backlash against current DEI programs. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives can offer organizations a significant competitive advantage by harnessing a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and talents. This diversity fuels innovation and creativity, essential for problem-solving and product development. DEI practices also enhance company reputation, making organizations more attractive to a diverse workforce and customer base. By prioritizing equity and inclusivity, companies see improved employee engagement and retention, as team members feel valued and empowered. Additionally, embracing DEI expands market understanding and reach, enabling businesses to effectively cater to a global audience. Despite these benefits, critics argue that these initiatives can be ineffective, tokenistic, or even discriminatory themselves. The panel will address these concerns, discussing how DEI efforts can be more impactful in today’s global context. Thank you for helping me share my message… Women’s wellness in the workplace matters for company performance (and society at large!) Did you know that millions of women globally face hormonal health challenges like endometriosis, PCOS, and menopause—often in silence? These conditions not only impact their lives but also their performance at work. And organizations are paying the price with increased absenteeism and disengagement. 💡 The Solution? A culture that prioritises women’s wellness. When women feel supported, they perform better, lead better, and contribute more—not just to their companies but to their families and communities. Here’s how organizations can take action: 1️⃣ Create a Culture of Everyday Wellness: Model healthy habits, encourage breaks, and rethink workplace norms like late-night emails or sugar-heavy catering. 2️⃣ Train Leaders for Empathy: Equip managers to have open, judgment-free conversations about women’s health challenges. 3️⃣ Build Supportive Communities: Introduce women’s health programs, peer circles, and educational masterclasses on topics like menopause and fertility. 💼 Why It Matters: Research shows companies with high employee well-being significantly outperform their peers. Investing in women’s wellness isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a smart business decision. When women thrive, everyone wins. Let’s create workplaces where women feel empowered to show up as their best selves
Day 2 of the 2024 Global DEI Conference has officially begun, and the energy is palpable as participants gear up for another day of transformative discussions and actionable insights. Building on the momentum of Day 1, today’s agenda delves into empowering leadership, fostering inclusive workplaces, and addressing critical aspects of mental health and well-being. This year’s theme, *“Fostering Equity for Success,”* continues to guide every conversation, emphasizing the importance of embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into the fabric of organizational culture and strategy. Today’s sessions are designed to inspire new perspectives and equip attendees with practical tools to drive change in their own organizations and communities. From thought-provoking panels to in-depth discussions, Day 2 will highlight the significance of authentic leadership, creating spaces of belonging, and promoting mental health as a vital element of inclusion. This is not just about conversation—it’s about collaboration, innovation, and action. A warm welcome to everyone joining us today. Your presence and participation are key to shaping a future where equity and inclusion are not just aspirations but realities. Let’s continue the important work of building a business world—and a global community—that thrives on diversity, equity, and inclusion. https://buff.ly/49oyR0U Elizabeth Cowper Sonia McNamara Paris Taylor Cynthia Fortlage Geeta Sidhu-Robb Charlotte Sweeney OBE - Rachel Morris Jorge R. Very proud that Enterprise Ireland have received inclusio’s Excellence in DEI Award™, for our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and demonstrating outstanding leadership in building inclusive cultures. This award, along with our Highly Commended CIPD Award for Embedding a Culture of Workplace wellbeing, illustrates the huge strides made in our cultural transformation under our THRIVE People Strategy- a strategy co-created by our people, across our 50 offices globally. We started with our overseas colleagues, to purposely cultivate inclusion and this has been replicated in our implementation with over 40% of our engagement group from our overseas locations - bringing a uniquely diverse approach to our work. Cultural change is hard, as unfortunately there aren’t one or two things you need to do, instead it’s a combination of all the actions you take each day & the behaviours you tolerate, encourage and reward. I am personally really proud of how far the organisation has come in the almost 2.5 years since I joined. This change has been achieved through the engagement of our people throughout our offices globally, an amazing group of colleagues who work tirelessly on behalf of our clients, and the Irish state, every day, whether client facing or enabling the work through internal delivery. I am really proud to work alongside them each day, celebrating their work which enables our clients' success, resulting in the creation of quality jobs in Ireland, which benefits all the people of Ireland. This award builds on the work of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion group, including Olivia Jackman, Lydia Rogers, Ellen N., Sean Davis, Garrett Murray, Jonathan McMillan, Amanda Ward, as well as former colleagues including Deirbhrin Hanratty, Jean O' Sullivan, Stephen Creaner, as well as our many champions of this throughout the organisation. Thanks to Keith Hussey (he/him) for driving this work through his pivotal role as our E, D& I manager, as well as Olivia Jackman, Adrian Breen & all the People & Culture division. Thanks to Leo Clancy for believing in the importance of this enough to create the E,D&I role, as well as a huge shout out to our Senior Leadership team for their role in creating an inclusive environment each day! Please tag colleagues across the organisation who champion our culture and live our values as I always run out of room.........! Thanks Sandra Healy, Laura Stafford, Aaron & all the team at Inclusio for their partnership in enabling us to take an evidence based approach - we look forward to tracking our progress and continuing to learn from your insights!
inclusio’s Excellence in DEI Award™ recognises leading organisations committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion who demonstrate outstanding leadership in building inclusive cultures. I recently had an enlightening conversation with a company leader tasked with spearheading DEI efforts, and we delved into the transformative impact of assessments in this vital work. 📊 Why Assessments Matter in DEI: Assessments serve as the compass guiding organizations on their DEI journey. They provide invaluable insights into current practices, perceptions, and areas for growth, empowering leaders to make informed decisions and drive meaningful change. ✨ The Benefits of Organizational Assessment in DEI Work: Baseline Understanding: Assessments establish a baseline understanding of an organization's DEI landscape, illuminating strengths and areas for improvement. Inclusive Decision-Making: Data-driven insights foster inclusive decision-making, ensuring that DEI initiatives are rooted in authenticity and relevance.
