I am thrilled to announce the establishment of WiTA – Women in Energy Transition Association in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a new platform dedicated to empowering women in the energy sector. Our mission is to foster a supportive network, promote leadership, and accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future.

I want to take a moment to celebrate Brigite Gonçalves, my esteemed colleague Friend and the inspiring Head of Large-Scale Photovoltaic Solar and Storage Business at EnergyCon. As a mother of two daughters and a son who will always advocate for them, this issue hits home. Women are leading the charge in clean energy, but they make up just 16% of the global workforce in this sector, despite representing nearly 40% of the total workforce. This gap is not just an equity issue; it's a call for change. Christiana Figueres, a shining example, helped shape the Paris Agreement and showed the power of women in leadership. It is estimated that in the US, approximately 21% of the workforce in the wind energy sector are #women.
