The Power of Simulated Learning When I attended my first Outbound Leadership Development Program in 2006, I realized the power simulations carry in creating awareness about individual behaviours in team settings in a really short time span. Well, the impact was not created by the activities per se, but by the debrief that the facilitators had done post the activities. I felt as if someone had held a mirror to me that revealed a lot more to me than I ever knew about my blind spots. Of course, most significantly, what I did with the awareness defined me in the years to come. By being on the other side of the table in my role as a Facilitator now, it feels truly satisfying to be able to harness the potential of the Facilitation process. While many organisations consider Team building activities as “fun” components of their offsites, as a Facilitator, I endeavour to unearth the deeper significance of such an activity from the client's perspective. A mere “fun activity” is not challenging enough for me either, unless I can see how it impacts the group collectively. That is the difference I can bring as a Facilitator. The deeper I can take the participants in the debrief, the richer the harvest. However, this is subject to the group composition and the organisational requirement. You serve as per the appetite and the brief. It felt great to partner with Michezo Sports to conduct a session recently for their full team. Thanks to Raghavan Veera for being my co-facilitator. The session was also special as it saw my daughter Devangshi commence her Internship by getting involved right from the session design stage till the execution. It was a special feeling to have her by my side. The fulfillment I feel from my work is directly proportional to the impact felt by the participants in terms of the shift they feel in their awareness. #Teamwork #Outboundlearning #facilitation #selfawareness Thank you, Maharishi (Rishi) Sridhar and Collin D'Silva for the opportunity to partner.

I’m thrilled to announce the start of a new year for SKA’s Mentorship Program as we celebrate National Mentoring Month! Our mentorship pairings span one year, with the flexibility to switch mentors or renew with the same mentor the following year. We’re proud to see so many mentors and mentees returning year after year and encouraging others to join—proof of the positive impact this program has on their growth and development! At SKA Consulting Engineers, Inc., mentorship is more than just guidance; it’s about building meaningful relationships that: ⚫ Inspire growth and ignite potential. ⚫ Foster genuine connection. ⚫ Equip employees with tools for personal and professional success. Here’s what one of our mentees had to say: "Participating in our mentorship program has been transformative—I’ve gained invaluable insights into our industry, explored exciting career paths, and truly feel supported and valued in my journey." I’m excited to witness how this program continues to shape future leaders, foster a culture of care and learning, and support growth at every level. #NationalMentoringMonth #MentorshipMatters #LeadershipDevelopment #EmployeeGrowth

“Just like that… the first month of 2025 is already over! 🚀” January felt like a blink, but when I look back, it’s been nothing short of incredible. ✨ Two training sessions—where I got to share my knowledge, help others grow, and, in turn, learn so much myself. ✨ Three interns I trained got converted to full-time employees—and that feeling? Absolutely unmatched. Watching them grow and thrive has been the most rewarding part of my journey this month. This month wasn’t just about professional wins. It was about stepping up, taking on new challenges, and realizing how much impact we can create when we truly invest in people. 💡 As we step into February, I carry one key lesson with me- Growth isn’t just about personal success. It’s about lifting others as you rise. Here’s to another month of learning, growing, and making an impact! 🚀 #Growth #Learning #Training #Mentorship #Leadership #DigitalMarketing #GrowthHack

🌟 Celebrating the Close of National Mentoring Month 🌟 At FA Bio, we recognize the power of mentorship in shaping careers, building confidence, and fostering an inclusive workplace. 🎓 With four team members enrolled in the Inclusive Leadership Programme run by the Royal Academy of Engineering, which fosters knowledge-sharing, leadership development, and inclusion—with mentoring as a key component—this is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the incredible mentors who inspire, support, and empower others every day. 🤝 As we wrap up National Mentoring Month, here’s what some of our team had to say about the impact of mentorship: 💬 Ana Dionisio – “Starting my professional career in FA-bio as my first job after graduating, I couldn’t have asked for a better foundation than having a truly supportive and trusting manager. From the very beginning, my manager believed in my abilities, provided me with encouragement, and created an environment where I felt safe to learn and grow. Their guidance and trust not only boosted my confidence but also allowed me to take on challenges I didn’t know I was capable of handling! This support was instrumental in shaping my career and setting me up for success. Looking back, I realize how fortunate I was to have such positive leadership during such a critical phase of my journey—it truly made all the difference.” 💬 RUCHITHA R – “Acting as a mentor in my previous role was a positive experience—not just for my mentees, who overcame fears and built confidence, but for me as well. Mentorship helped me grow as a leader and develop confidence in guiding others.” 💬 Leigh Credland, a member of the Inclusive Leadership Programme – “Mentoring isn’t always formal—it’s the people who take the time to lead by example, share their experience, and show you what good leadership looks like. I was lucky to work with someone early in my career who treated everyone with respect, from the cleaner to a CEO. Twenty-five years later, I still carry those lessons with me.” 🍄 Mentorship creates ripples that extend far beyond a single conversation—it fosters growth, inclusion, and future leadership. To all mentors—past, present, and future—thank you for making a difference! 💡 Who has been a mentor in your journey? Let’s celebrate them in the comments! #NationalMentoringMonth #MentorshipMatters #InclusiveLeadershipProgramme #LeadershipDevelopment #SustainableAgriculture #Growth #Inclusion

✨ It all started with a train journey! I was traveling on a train when I joined my induction forum, called the Local Training Seminar. As I logged into the online meeting, I was taken by surprise—random people were jiving enthusiastically and doing roll calls! My first thought was, “Buddy, what have you gotten yourself into?” People around me in the train started peeking at my phone, and I frantically left the call. And that’s how it all began! I was part of 15-18 clubs and societies in college—not because I wanted to join them all, but because I genuinely enjoyed giving interviews and somehow kept getting selected. AIESEC happened to be one of them. The one line that stood out to me in their recruitment email was: “AIESEC helps in developing youth leadership.” Eventually, that became my reason to leave all the other clubs and stick with AIESEC. It turned into a space where I learned lessons that still guide me: 💡 Networking with people in the most fun and insightful ways broadened my perspectives. 💡 Embracing discomfort helped me step out of my shell and participate actively. 💡 Working with diverse teams sharpened my team management skills. 💡 Failures and setbacks became stepping stones for growth. 💡 Navigating uncertain situations taught me calmness and resilience. Most importantly, I learned that leadership is about empowering others, building trust, and leading by example. These aren’t just skills—they’ve become core values that define who I am today. I now feel confident to face life’s challenges and uncertainties—with a smile on my face and a plan in my mind! P.S. What’s your reason for continuing in what you’re doing? I’d love to hear your story! 😊 P.P.S. This is the picture from my induction forum, though I never made it there—I left the call! 😄
