𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 One of my recent projects involved a MedTech company looking to promote an innovative ophthalmology treatment. Initially, the focus was on patients and specialized eye clinics. However, after analyzing the German market access landscape, I identified a key opportunity: private ophthalmology practices—the first point of contact for patients before referral to clinics. Here's how I approached it: ▶️ We redefined the target group, shifting the focus to private ophthalmologists. ▶️ I crafted a press release highlighting the challenges around market access and treatment pathways. ▶️ We organized a virtual press event, moderated by me, with a leading ophthalmologist providing expert testimonial, alongside my client. The outcome? Our story was featured in nearly every major ophthalmology magazine in Germany, both in print and online, significantly raising awareness for the treatment. Do you want to learn more healthcare marketing insights? Just follow me for more tips. 🙂 - - - P.S.: This success shows how important it can be to not only crafting the right message but also addressing the right audience to achieve great results. ☝️ #MedTechPR #ClientSuccess #HealthcareMarketing #TargetAudience #Ophthalmology #CommunicationsStrategy

Are some regions of the country at higher risk for age-related macular degeneration? A 2022 study released in JAMA Ophthalmology, says yes👇🏻 The prevalence of both early and late AMD varied widely by U.S. County. After standardizing by gender and race/ethnicity, rates for vision threatening AMD were the highest in the Midwest and New England regions of the country, and in Florida The study also found that in 2019, there were an estimated 19.83 million Americans were living with some form of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in 2019, which is an increase of approximately more than 2.75 times previous estimates (which used a more conservative definition of early AMD based on larger drusen size). Share this post to raise awareness around the increase in macular degeneration. #MacularDegeneration #Ophthalmology #VisionLoss

"Diseases manifesting on the skin can look different depending on a person's skin tone. Yet, less than 5% of images in general medical textbooks include examples of diseases on darker complexions, according to a 2018 study. Research has shown that because darker skin tones are not represented enough in medical textbooks, physicians find it more challenging to recognize dermatologic manifestations in diseases like Lyme disease. Black Americans are often diagnosed with skin cancers at a later stage and have lower survival rates." #sustainability #diversityequityinclusion #DEI #dermatology #skin

We’re excited to highlight the contribution of Amital Isaac, Sheba Global’s Deputy Head of Multimedia Content and a 3rd-year medical student in our joint program with the University of Nicosia. Amital collaborated with a team of women’s healthcare specialists, led by Dr. Malcolm Mackenzie at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, MA, to better understand the impact of laparoscopic excision surgery on women with endometriosis. Published in the Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, their findings are groundbreaking: laparoscopic excision improves symptoms and significantly enhances the quality of life of women affected by this condition. Endometriosis impacts 1 in 10 women globally, making this research an important step forward in offering a more effective surgical solution. We are proud of Amital and her colleagues for their commitment to advancing women’s health and look forward to seeing more groundbreaking research emerge from Sheba's talented staff.
