MSRA Allocations Round 1 2025 As expected, it has been confirmed that there will be two sittings of the MSRA for Round 1 2025 – you may have received an email about this earlier today. The two sittings are: January 2nd – January 13th 2025 – Doctors that have applied to Anaesthetics, Obstetrics, Emergency Medicine, Radiology, Core Surgical Training, Ophthalmology, Neurosurgery, CSRH, or Nuclear Medicine (all of these have interviews later on in the process for those that score well in the MSRA) February 17th – February 28th 2025 – Doctors that have applied to GP, Psychiatry / CAMHS (these specialties do not have interviews, your rank is based 100% on your MSRA scores). Those eligible will be invited to book a specific date within the sitting they have been allocated later on - last year the invitations came out around the middle of December. The exact date has not been confirmed yet for this year. I have received lots of questions about this so I thought I would compile answers to the common queries. Q: I have applied to GP / Psychiatry + one of the other specialties allocated to the January slot. Will I sit the exam in January or February? A: You will sit the exam in January Q: I have applied to multiple specialties – will I sit the exam twice? A: No – you will sit the exam once, and the same score will apply to all specialties you applied for Q: I want to sit the exam in February, not January – can I change? A: No – the email mentions that allocations are final and cannot be changed If you have further queries about this, there are details of who to contact at the bottom of the email you will have received.
