The impact 🤯 When our founder, Angie Heuck, started Uplift she often commented that if Uplift could help one woman, all the behind-the-scenes hard work of starting a new #nonprofit would be worth it. Saving a life? What a compellingly different impact story. (And we are just getting started)! Uplift #donors and #missionpartners are transforming the lives of women + children, one woman at a time. This International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, let's do something specific for change. At The Baytree Centre, we witness the horrific impact of violence on women and girls. We see how support, education, and community can bring transformation. 📸 Our photo captures a Baytree Moment :) Ksenia Gorenstein, our Comms Manager, evaluating with one of the The Baytree Centre's girls the photos they took today. This embodies Baytree's mission of empowering women and girls, building confidence, and providing a safe space for growth. 💡 Why support Baytree? Your investment goes beyond charity—it fires a movement: - Mentoring and coaching for personal progress. - Skills training for independence. - A safe and nurturing place for those in need. This International Day, stand with us against violence and invest in women and girls. Join us in: - Donating to fund life-changing programs. - Partnering with us to share skills and create opportunities. - Volunteering to mentor and empower women. 💬 We can end violence and create a world where every woman and girl thrives. 🌟 This Give to Women and Girls Day, digitalundivided is proud to join over 25 philanthropic and nonprofit organizations to boost funding for gender equity! Despite the fact that more than 50,000 U.S. nonprofits focus on women and girls, a shocking less than 2% of philanthropic support reaches them, according to the Women & Girls Index by @womensphilanthropy. To tackle this issue, Give to Women and Girls Day was launched in 2022 to raise awareness and resources for these vital organizations. “The gap in funding for women and girls reflects the disparity in venture capital for women-owned startups—both hovering under 2%,” says Leah D. Williams, CEO of digitalundivided. "We’re standing with the Women’s Philanthropy Institute and Amplify Her Foundation to advocate for the 51% of Americans who deserve equitable support from the $557.16 billion given to charities each year." ✨ It’s time to #GiveToWomenAndGirls! Join us by making a monthly donation, starting at just $5. Together, we can create a meaningful impact in the lives of women everywhere! 💪💖 https://lnkd.in/eVpKM2p4

Join HOPE for Give to Women and Girls Day 2024, a powerful initiative dedicated to amplifying support for women's and girls' causes! 🌸 Since 2019, the Women's Philanthropy at Indiana University Institute (WPI) has revealed that less than 2% of U.S. philanthropic funding goes to these essential efforts, and we are committed to changing that! 💪 At HOPE, we believe that when women and girls thrive, entire communities flourish. Let’s work together to close the funding gap! Visit our cause page at Every.org/latinas to learn how you can make a difference. ✨ On October 8, the WPI released its latest Women & Girls Index, tracking a decade of charitable giving to organizations focused on women and girls in the U.S. 📊 This report reveals that philanthropic support for women’s and girls’ organizations surpassed $10 billion for the first time in 2021. Key highlights include a remarkable 60.9% growth in funding for women’s civil rights and a 26.5% increase in government grants to these groups, outpacing other sectors. To learn more, visit equitablegivinglab.org/WGI! 📈 While we’ve made progress, there’s still work to be done. Together, we can continue to advance the cause for women and girls! 🌍🤝 #GiveToWomenAndGirls #InvestInHer #EveryOrg #HOPELatinas #CloseTheGap #WGIndex2024 #GenderEquality

Many of the conversations about #climatefinance at #SIDS4 have affirmed the work of Global Fund for Women. Private investment in poorer countries is limited, the global climate finance mechanisms are largely inaccessible and don't reach the masses, and global financial institutions are not designed to serve these populations. While we continue to demand and work towards system change, we also recognise the urgency of meeting the most vulnerable populations where they are, and providing the resources immediately required to resource their work and reduce their vulnerability. This is our current approach to providing inclusive, just finance for climate action.
By standing with movements, we offer a way to redirect despair and anger into solidarity through action. Research shows that autonomous feminist movements are one of the primary drivers of lasting social change—more powerful than national wealth, progressive political parties, or even the number of women in government. That’s why we fund movements—and as a regular monthly donor, you can provide ongoing support for feminist movements. If you can, join #1Point9Rising with a donation or by signing up for our email list: https://lnkd.in/g2EdJEhU

So proud of these young women I had the honor of teaching this semester! They created campaigns for Carrie’s Closet, a non-profit organization near and dear to my heart. In honor of our beloved friend and fashionista, Carrie Hamstra, Carrie’s Closet provides boutique-style pop-up shopping experiences for women who are unhoused or experiencing crisis. Loved their insight-inspired campaign concepts: —Insight: Women volunteer and donate so others perceive them as compassionate. Campaign: Be a Compassionista —Insight: Regardless of your economic situation, belonging is essential to survival. Campaign: Find Your Fit —Insight: People donate clothes to absolve themselves for wasteful shopping habits. Campaign: Closet Karma

As we wrap up the week, let’s highlight an important shift in the world of giving. Women are increasingly at the forefront of philanthropy, driving impactful change and redefining how we approach fundraising. From influential figures like MacKenzie Scott and Melinda French Gates to the growing number of women-led funding collectives, it’s clear that women are making significant contributions and leading the way in philanthropy. For nonprofits, this means it’s time to rethink traditional fundraising strategies and engage more meaningfully with women donors. Recognizing the evolving landscape and adapting your approach can open doors to new support and opportunities. Let’s make sure we’re inclusive and responsive to the changing dynamics of giving. #WomenInPhilanthropy #DonorEngagement #NonprofitGrowth #Philanthropy #FridayFocus
