We all know wind and solar are game-changers for clean energy, but what happens when the sun isn’t shining or the wind isn’t blowing? That’s where energy storage steps in! With battery tech like lithium-ion leading the way (and prices dropping fast), plus cool new options like sodium-ion and even liquid CO2 storage, the future looks bright. As Robert Piconi says, there’s no one-size-fits-all solution—it’s all about combining the right tech and working together. Let’s keep pushing for a cleaner, more sustainable world!

Lithium ion has been the leader, but it’s exciting to see new technologies like sodium ion and flow batteries gaining traction. It will be interesting to see how these innovations reshape the energy storage market in the next decade.
