As a distributor, I'm inundated with daily inquiries about allocation availability, quantities, and pricing for Sassicaia 2021. Setting a price for this liquid treasure is challenging due to its extraordinary demand. Currently hailed as the wine of the year, Sassicaia 2021 is a coveted rarity. What attributes to its phenomenal success? It's the third time it has achieved a perfect 100-point score from the renowned Wine Advocate, Robert Parker, joining the esteemed ranks of the 1985 (vintage of the Century) and the 2016. Is it a worthy investment? Absolutely. Presently valued between 320 to 340, the wine is poised to appreciate by 10-15% by year-end. Congratulations to REMA 1000 Danmark for receiving several first-place awards at the prestigious PLMA Salute to Excellence Awards. The importance of private labels has grown significantly within the last eight to ten years in the wine industry. The Table Grape Sector in Italy: Strengths and Weaknesses. 🍇 💪 Rosario Di Lorenzo, professor at the University of Palermo and President of Accademia Italiana della Vite e del Vino, speaks about this topic at the Table Grape Symposium on Wednesday, May 8th. 🗣 "Table grapes represent a driving sector in Italy. Our country is a true powerhouse: we are the leading country in Europe in terms of acreage, production and exported volumes, while globally we rank seventh in production. The contribution of Italian research to the development of the sector is acknowledged, as evidenced by themes such as 'protected' viticulture for the expansion of the offer calendar. Italian production occurs across an area of 45 thousand hectares of vineyards and yields over 900 thousand tonnes of product annually, 45% of which is exported.
