Welcome to Our New Chair - Tim Geyer We are thrilled to announce Tim Geyer as our new Chair of the Board. With over 45 years of experience in local government in Australia, Tim brings expertise in urban landscapes, sports facilities, heritage preservation, and more. A Certified International Parks Professional, he has held key roles within World Urban Parks, including Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Region and Advocacy Committee for Older Adults in Parks. Tim is committed to driving innovation, influencing policy, and enhancing global engagement with urban parks. New Deputy Chair - Mark Bowater Mark Bowater joins as Deputy Chair, bringing extensive experience in parks, recreation, and sustainability. A leader in local government and active member of Recreation Aotearoa, Mark is passionate about urban livability and mentoring future professionals. Recognized with prestigious industry awards, Mark’s expertise and dedication will play a key role in shaping the future of World Urban Parks.
