Recent events in the occupied West Bank are a stark reminder of ongoing injustices. Palestinian homes are raided, vandalized, and families disrupted in nighttime assaults. #EndOccupation #HumanRights The recent incident in Ramallah's Jalazoun camp, where young Palestinians were abruptly arrested, highlights the arbitrary nature of these actions. #FreePalestine #JusticeForPalestine In the occupied West Bank, the fate of these young men and the circumstances of their detention remain uncertain. It's crucial to raise awareness and advocate for the protection of human rights in conflict zones like Palestine. #StandForHumanRights #ProtectPalestinians Let's continue to stand against injustice, support peaceful solutions, and promote dialogue for a lasting peace in the region. #PeaceInTheMiddleEast #SupportGaza

🔊 Amplifying Victims' Voices in Yemen: A Call for Justice In the ongoing pursuit of justice for Yemen, it is crucial that the voices of victims, especially children affected by landmine violations in Taiz, are amplified and their demands are heard. Center for Strategic Studies to Support Women and Children members of the #Justice4Yemen Coalition, had implemented a special session dedicated to listening to these #victims. Their perspectives on redress and rehabilitation are vital and should be integral to any transitional justice process. Every story shared is a step towards healing and a call for accountability. We must ensure that these voices are not only heard but also acted upon, paving the way for a just and peaceful future. #Justice4Yemen #TransitionalJustice #VictimsVoices #LandmineSurvivors #HumanRights #Yemen

The situation in #Haiti is worsening, and while analogies to dystopian films are a disservice to the power and beauty of the Haitian people, the increasing violence and lawlessness of the capital threaten what is a very tenuous situation for many. 🌎 The country of Haiti is in need of our solidarity, including a development and security stimulus package and political action from leaders. 🏝 The people of Haiti are in need of our empathy and humanitarian assistance, as approximately 5.5 million Haitians are at-risk. According to United Nations OCHA, "Extreme violence perpetrated by armed gangs against the Haitian population has now extended to remote rural areas, as the Government’s presence continues to erode. Persistent structural weaknesses have exacerbated the lack of essential basic services, with hospitals and doctors becoming targets, and the forced displacement of several hundred teachers, many of whom progressively leave the country." https://lnkd.in/erwJrEYC

Nuff said... Now, typically the lack of due diligence and feet dragging are subject for investigation and possible prosecution. But UN is the top of the ladder org. So, it stands to reason that no-one will be investigated, questioned, put on trial, etc. Do we really need the UN and all its commissions, committees, councils, etc? Not suggesting a particular answer. Asking you to do your own thinking, for your own sake.

BREAKING!🚨🚨🚨 "There is clear and convincing information that some hostages being held in Gaza have been subjected to rape and sexualized torture, with reasonable grounds to believe it is continuing," said United Nations Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict Pramila Patten. This 'revelation' emerges after a prolonged 150-day period of intense advocacy for justice, and finally, our voices are heard. Better late than never... We must all demand from the United Nations and its Secretary General António Guterres to do EVERYTHING in their power to bring back our hostages! #bringthembackhomenow #justice #humanity #standwithhumanity #truth #truthmatters #solidarity

When will there be enough evidence for you closeted anti-Semites to demand the return of the Israeli hostages and the complete dismantling of Hamas as unnecessary precondition for a cease-fire? What evidence do you need to understand that they are raising children to want to murder Jews, and sacrifice themselves in the name of martyrdom all in the name of killing Jews? When is it going to be enough evidence that that’s the only goal and that there is no such thing as resistance, when the goal is the murder of Jews? Tell me and I will provide all the evidence you need.

It's time to break the silence on domestic violence in Iraq!! Despite cultural taboos, domestic violence remains a harsh reality for many Iraqi women. Patriarchal norms, economic insecurity, and limited access to support services exacerbate the prevalence of this issue. To address this, a comprehensive strategy involving both governmental and non-governmental efforts is necessary. Robust legal frameworks are needed to protect survivors and hold perpetrators accountable. Promoting awareness through campaigns is essential to challenge harmful attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate violence. As individuals and as a society, we must break the silence surrounding domestic violence. Let's provide survivors with the support and resources they need to rebuild their lives. Together, let's work towards creating a safer and more equitable future for all Iraqi women. Join me in the fight to #EndDomesticViolence and promote #GenderEquality. 💪🌸

There are approximately 150 gangs in Haiti and between them have killed ten thousand people over three years, they control 80 per cent of Port au Prince and recent massacres have stunned even the most hardened observers. Presently there are 400 security personnel from Kenya, deployed in the country as a UN mission to support Haiti's police force, with a further 600 more due in November. The Kenyan force is underfunded and understaffed and the humanitarian tragedy for the Haitian people is set to continue. On the LatinNews podcast this week, we speak to Renata Segura, Program Director for Latin America and the Caribbean for Crisis Group and Diego Da Rin, Haiti Analyst for International Crisis Group about their thoughts on the wide-scale gang violence, the former deep links between political and business elites and these gangs and the possibilities for the transitional government in controlling the situation. Will there be elections in Haiti in 2025? Full episode linked in the comments. #Haiti #InternationalCrisisGroup #GlobalSecurity

It's a shame that the #mainstream #news refuses to delve into why this war even started. When a country is savagely attacked, shouldn't there be consequences? A ceasefire could have happened months ago with the release of the hostages. When blood is spilt due to unnecessary aggression of the most personal and brutal kind, a government is required to protect its citizens from further attacks - especially when the enemy states explicitly their mission: To attack repeatedly, not only to annilate Israel, but Jews across the globe. The narrative has been grossly distorted to make Israel look bad and leave Jews unprotected world wide. How is it that a normal citizen in #Chicago struggles to pay traffic tickets violations when people and police are being attacked by protesters? Ignoring these disruptive, and often violent, protests means there will be more of the same. I'm frightened by what I might encounter. These Israeli victims deserve kindness, compassion, and to be heard, and supported. Some people were not even Jewish. A slaughter happened at a Peace festival while, not a single bomb was being deployed towards Gaza. Did Hamas think nothing would happen? NO. Let their people become martyrs against their will. Nobody sees this????? The UN is actively supporting Hamas, and Hezbollah which is destroying the Golan Heights in Israel. Where are the climate change activist, feminist groups, TheRedCross or the UN to comment, or stop this? Let hear the WHOLE story on the news - #FairandBalanced #LetMyPeopleGo live in #Peace #Shalom for all, including our enemies. Let's be reasonable,#protesters You don't need to frighten, or kill me to live in Peace. That's on you.
BREAKING: Over 100 victims of Ham*s are suing UNRWA!!! Finally!!! Among the victims also the relatives of Kedem-Siman Tov family. "They’re here. They’re burning us. We’re suffocating" Yonatan (Johnny) Kedem-Siman Tov texted his sister on October 7. Ham*s monsters surrounded their home, set them on fire and burned alive Yonatan, Tamar, and their children - twin girls Shahar and Arbel, 4 years old Omer, and 70 years old grandmother Carol. UN agency UNRWA is Ham*s cover-up. In UNRWA schools, they teach Gaza children to m*rder Jews. That's how they groom generation after generation of cruel t*rrorists. UNRWA schools and headquarters hide Ham*s tunnels underneath. UNRWA hired t*rrorists, who m*rdered, r*ped, kidnapped Israelis on October 7. UNRWA employees hold hostages. The victims will file a major lawsuit today (June 24) in the federal court of New York against UNRWA, because it aided in genocide, crimes against humanity, torture, and systematic r*pe carried out by Ham*s. #middleeast #future #sustainability #law #usa #UnitedNations
