This is what we are fighting for. Everyone who calls this war 'genocide', 'ethnic cleansing', or any other nonsense based on Iranian and Russian-sponsored propaganda, just honestly ask yourself: What would you do if it were your child kidnapped from a party and held by a terror organization? What would you demand your country to do to bring your child back? How many lives could have been saved if those people had never been kidnapped, or if Hamas would release them as part of the ceasefire deal that has been on the table for months? Why aren't you mad at Hamas for putting its entire population at risk, but you are mad at Israel for fighting to bring its people back? Today is a happy day for the rescue of Noa, Almog, Andrei, and Shlomi, but we still have 120 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. As someone who works with displaced migrant women in India, I’ve seen firsthand how conflict disproportionately harms women during and after violent crises. Research consistently shows that women are more vulnerable, which is why our organization focuses on providing psychosocial support and employability skills. These women, many of whom have lost everything, are trying to rebuild their lives from the ground up. It’s not easy work. But amidst the chaos, there are small and big wins worth celebrating. A new project, for example, is helping them become financially independent by offering skills training that can lead to sustainable livelihoods -moments give me hope. Yet, as I live and work alongside these women, I’m simultaneously witnessing a world engulfed in war. From Gaza to Sudan, Congo, Manipur, and now Lebanon, but the trauma and scars remain—the crises seem never-ending. For those of us working at the intersection of gender, mental health, and displacement, it’s becoming harder not to dissociate or, worse, normalize the constant violence and suffering. There seems to be no red line—no moment that forces the world to stop and reconsider. But we mustn’t let the voices of support die out. Let’s continue to amplify the call for peace and accountability. It’s time to hold our leaders and representatives accountable for making it stop. We owe it to the frontline workers, to the displaced, and future generations.

The ceasefire in Lebanon has held up for over a month, even if it remains fragile and tenuous. Additionally, the election of a new President (after a 2-year power vacuum) offers hope for stability and renewed support for peace and recovery efforts. All glimmers of hope amidst harsh reality. Your support has helped World Vision reach over 332,000 persons, including 116,200 children in 66,400 families. We've distributed over 12,000 blankets, over 115,000 packets of bread, and served over 2 million hot meals. In the Hermel area alone, we're supporting 90,000 new arrivals from Syria who desperately need help, while rehabilitating schools to support educational access for children in Akkar and the South. Everyday, our teams are making a tangible difference. Thank you for enabling us to do so. Since the onset of winter, challenges have compounded. Nearly 1.2 million people remain displaced, with over 160,900 unable to return home due to the security conditions. Many remain in temporary shelters, facing freezing temperatures with inadequate resources, shattered infrastructure, and practically no essential services. The ceasefire has been, and remains a crucial window of opportunity to scale up our humanitarian response. We were among the first to mobilize, and have been working tirelessly to rehabilitate schools, restore water access, and provide winter essentials to families. Is Rafah included in the ceasefire or excluded? Focus on this post, save it, and share it because it’s crucial. The fate of 300,000 people depends on it. The media reported that the people of Rafah returned to their homes on the first day of the ceasefire. The truth, however, was hidden. Over 50% of Rafah was classified as dangerous, and no one addressed it. What’s worse is that areas declared safe are being invaded by tanks, with heavy gunfire targeting civilians. Bulldozers, machine guns, and snipers have killed over 30 people. Their deaths have been ignored. The ceasefire has been violated. Many people were expelled from their shelters. When they attempted to return to so-called safe areas, they were targeted because they didn’t know the military was present. Rafah has been completely neglected. No camps were set up for its displaced residents, who remain homeless, unable to return due to the military occupation. Officials and humanitarian organizations focus only on northern Gaza, leaving Rafah in the dark. Share this post to expose the truth about Rafah.
