🇪🇺 It is (almost) a wrap for SecurIT Innosup European project (#H2020 #INNOSUP), with full days in Paris: 🎬 Yesterday was held the #SecurIT final event, celebrating three years of cluster collaboration for the benefits of SMEs, developping innovation digital solutions for #security, with the participation of the majority of the 42 projects funded by #SecurIT project, and the presence of European Commission. 🏆 Six promising projects have been specially awarded: stay tuned on SecurIT Innosup to know more about them... 🥁 ! 🤝 Today and tomorrow, the consortium is present at #SMI2G2024 event at Campus Cyber in Paris La Défense, for networking with the European security community. ➡️ Key take-off messages: 🔹️ #CascadeFunding is a highly valuable instrument to support SMEs in getting access in an agile way to European funds to foster close-to-market and collaborative innovations, especially in the digital and security sectors. 🔹️ #Clusters play a vital role as catalysts for innovations, within their ecosystem and beyond, at the service of their members. #Today at Palazzo Ferrajoli, Rome, to participate in the High-level Conference ‘TECH7’, organised as a side event of the #G7 by Anitec-Assinform and promoted by the main #ICT sector associations of the G7 countries, to discuss priorities on #digitalinnovation, #cybersecurity, and the development of #disruptivetechnologies as a lever for competitiveness. The Italian Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso emphasized that one of the fundamental topics of the G7 under the Italian Presidency is the security and resilience of networks and the value chain, not least thanks to emerging technologies, including #quantumtechnologies, a sector where #Italy can play a leading role through its national companies. Watch Now Webinar: Unpacking Cyber-Resilience for EPES with NIS2 (Woman's Perspective) The webinar held on March 21, 2024, organized in collaboration with the CyberSEAS project and the Slovenian Women4Cyber delegation, focused on the EU's new NIS2 directive concerning cybersecurity, effective since 2023. This legislation updates previous rules from 2016 to address better evolving digital threats, expanding protection to new entities and sectors, particularly in energy. This event was a great opportunity to learn about the NIS2 directive on cyber security. During the webinar, titled "Unpacking cyber-resilience for EPES with NIS2 (Woman's perspective) we were privileged to welcome industry experts and all strictly women. Growth in Dominican Republic’s ICT Sector The information and communication technology (ICT) sector in the DR has experienced significant growth in recent years. The GODR has been focused on the digital transformation of the country through the national strategy “Agenda Digital 2030’’ which seeks to raise national competitiveness, improve the standard of living of the population, and make efficient and transparent public administration. The agenda follows five strategic and two transversal axes: governance and regulatory framework, connectivity and access, education and digital skills, digital government, digital economy, cybersecurity, and technological innovation.
