“Even though sometimes I will feel mad, I love myself, and I'm OK.” This powerful affirmation comes from one of Worthy Beyond Purpose’s mindful first graders. With tools like tapping—a mindfulness technique to reduce stress and cope with emotions—kids are learning to navigate life with confidence and self-awareness. Imagine a world where every child has access to these tools. With your help, we can make this vision a reality. By setting up a monthly gift to Worthy Beyond Purpose, you’re not just donating—you’re becoming a cornerstone of lasting change. Your monthly gift helps us create online training for teachers, parents, and caregivers, ensuring mindfulness tools reach kids everywhere. Together, we’re growing a more mindful, compassionate world—one child at a time. Join the movement: Set up your recurring gift today https://buff.ly/3B18qTo and transform lives with us. Thank you for making mindfulness possible. 💜 #GrowingMindfulness #MindfulnessMatters #DonateNow #WorthyBeyondPurpose #MindfulnessForAll #MindfulKids #SupportMindfulness #DonateNow #MindfulnessRevolution #MindfulnessInSchools #GrowWithMindfulness #MonthlyGiving #CopingTechniques

When doing nonprofit work, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why I wanted to share a mindfulness tip that I like incorporate in my day-to-day. If you’re facing an anxious or stressful moment, remember the word S.T.O.P. S: Stop and take Stock. Notice the thoughts, feelings, and sensations you’re experiencing. T: Take a breath. Direct your attention to your breathing for a two in and out cycles. O: Open and Observe. Gently expand your awareness of the moment beyond your breathing and to your surroundings. P: Proceed with new Possibilities. Let your attention move into the world around you in this present moment. Be open and curious. Continue without expectation. Happy breathing! 😄 #nonprofit #productivity #mindfulness

The Power of Meditation for Mental Health In today’s fast-paced world, mental health is more important than ever. Meditation is a powerful tool to cultivate peace, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. But access to this life-changing practice isn’t always equitable. That’s why I’m supporting Medito ( https://lnkd.in/dsA9vQDn ) —a nonprofit that provides free, accessible meditation resources to anyone who needs them. If you believe in the importance of mental health and making meditation available to all, consider making a small donation. Every contribution helps bring mindfulness and healing to more people. Let’s make a difference, one breath at a time. Donate here https://lnkd.in/dMDj6zcP

One of the most common misconceptions about mindfulness is that it's selfish. It's navel gazing. It does nothing to heal systems of oppression. My friends, this couldn't be farther than the truth! To heal our world and build just systems, we need more humans practicing mindfulness, compassion, and wise action. Here's some of my favorite books on the intersection of mindfulness and social justice: 💛 The Inner Work of Racial Justice: Healing Ourselves and Transforming Our Communities Through Mindfulness by Rhonda V. Magee 💛 You Belong: A Call for Connection by Sebene Selassie 💛 Real Change: Mindfulness to Heal Ourselves and the World by Sharon Salzberg What resources have supported you around mindfulness + social justice? I'd love to hear. PS - Our next free Mindfulness Community for Changemakers gatherings are April 3 and April 24, from 5:30-6pm central. I'd love to see you there. Join my email community for details and the audio recording of the last session on shifting from fear to love. https://lnkd.in/gpu-Gkac #mindfulness #nonprofits #compassion #socialjustice

🌳 Quick grounding practice for overwhelm Brought to you by the San Francisco Botanical Garden redwoods If you'd like to try this somatic grounding practice, feel free to have your eyes open or closed. You can do this in any moment - no extra time needed. Envision that you are standing or sitting on a tree trunk that is extending from the bottom of your hips or feet down into the earth. Imagine this stable, steady tree trunk connecting your body to the earth, offering a sense of support, and being truly held in this present moment. Feel the sensations of your feet on the ground. To balance your nervous system even more, I recommend breathing in for a count of 6, and breathing out for a count of 6. Sending you peace and love. 💛 --- If you'd like to learn more about any of the following mindfulness offerings, check out the link in comments to a quick interest form. -Virtual Rest & Reset Workshop on Tuesday, December 17 from 10-11:30am ct (5 free tickets available) -More information on my customized workshops for teams -Join my email list for free resources, event invites, and mindfulness tips to alleviate stress.
