Last week, our team attended the Advanced Wound Care Summit in Boston. Over the course of two days, we gained valuable insights and made meaningful connections. Our CEO, Lee Harle, reflects on the discussions: “In 25 years, chronic wound healing rates have not really changed — patients as well as clinicians and health systems need innovation that makes a real difference and that can be used at scale to deliver better healing for millions of patients worldwide. This means that as an industry we need to think about all wounds, in the real world, not just the easy-to-heal ones, targeted by trials tipped for success but that do not really progress innovation. This year’s Advanced Wound Care Summit offered an invaluable meeting place for global leaders in wound care innovation to engage in discussions, all dedicated to delivering better treatments to patients. The presentation tracks included a great panel hosted by the FDA’s Julie Morabito on shaping the future of advanced wound care that emphasised the importance of regulatory bodies adapting to facilitate swift approvals for impactful wound care innovations.” Learn more about how SolasCure is transforming wound care with Aurase Wound Gel ➡https://rb.gy/dbv3g9 #WoundCare #Hydrogel #HealthTech #ChronicWounds

📊 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐞: 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 We are excited to share our latest research on the 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭-𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞 (𝐏𝐃𝐂𝐃𝐒-𝐆). This study introduces the German version of the PDCDS, a validated tool to assess difficulties patients experience after being discharged from inpatient treatment. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡: Factorial validity of the PDCDS-G was confirmed by a two-factorial model with good model fit, and both factors showed good to excellent reliability. The two-factor model achieved measurement invariance, allowing its use across all patient characteristics, hospitalization factors, and survey-related variables. Significant relationships were identified between the PDCDS-G scores, patients’ health status, and the occurrence of patient safety incidents, supporting its criterion validity. The PDCDS-G is an important instrument for understanding post-discharge challenges and can be used to support quality improvement initiatives and foster patient safety during care transitions. We hope our work contributes to improving care processes and patient outcomes.
