Wow Development Quality Assurance ’s Post

The #korachallenge is by far the biggest event that socialtours | nepal started .. way back in 2011. This homegrown event is now happening in over 20 locations in Nepal and also abroad. On that one day, riders will cycle over 200,000 kms for fun and for a cause. To make a destination really known, homegrown events that go global are key. They are loud, visible, and when they grow big, make locals very proud of them. Check the Marathons in Boston, London, New York etc. This is the sort of vision we are working towards. Since the past few years, it attracts over 3000 - 4000 riders riding in these different locations. and has become a bit of a festival - colourful, inclusive, fun and full of community vibes. This year, its happening on 20th July, and we have already hit 1000 registrations. About 25 days to go now. This is looking good. Might become the biggest ride. Yet! BTW, it works on a very sustainable copy left approach, so anyone can do it anywhere in the world. All it requires is a circuitous route for cycling, and a ride thats a bit of a challenge.. not too much, but just enough to make it fun. For those who do not know, a Kora is a circumambulation of a religious site, usually done clockwise. The #kora24 in Kathmandu has 50km, 75km, 100km routes. In Bhaktapur, its 25km, 50km, 75km and 100km routes. @korachallenge @cyclecitynetworknepal_ @pangro.nepal #nepalnow
