🇪🇺🇬🇱 EU-Greenland Business Mission 2024 🇬🇱🇪🇺 I am happy to announce the first EU-Greenland Business Mission on Sustainable Raw Materials and Renewable Energy! 📅 Date: 30 September-4 October 2024 📍 Location: Greenland 🔑 Theme: “Advancing EU-Greenland Collaboration: Investments and Innovation in Sustainable Raw Materials and Renewable Energy” The business mission, co-organised by the European Commission and the Government of Greenland, with support from the Sulisitsisut | Grønlands Erhverv | Greenland Business Association, aims to foster B2B and B2G dialogues, explore investment opportunities, and drive innovation in sustainable raw materials and clean energy. The business mission will bring together policymakers, financial institutions and business representatives from the EU and Greenland, including the European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB), the Government of Greenland, and the Greenland Business Association, as well as other relevant stakeholders. The business mission will include a high-level seminar, bilateral meetings, and site visits focused on general key infrastructure in Nuuk. By 2040, Southeast Asia is projected to see a 60% surge in energy demand. Challenges for the region in building a diversified options of green and low carbon energy sources to support our regional economic growth are largely dependent on the availability of one or more of the following factors: - Natural resources for green energies from sources such as Solar, Wind, Hydro, Bio Waste, Geothermal to be harvested; - Technology and operational expertise to build and operate projects that can efficiently harvest these green energies; - National policies, regulations and infrastructure that enable new projects to be developed and for the energies to be efficiently distributed to where the demands are located; and - Financial capitals to enable new projects to be effectively funded. The ENERGATE platform brings financial solutions for municipalities and beyond! The 2nd Regional Workshop which took place in Riga, Latvia, allowed to understand the challenge of renovating multi-apartment buildings. ENERGATE Project supports these efforts by simplifying access to financing solutions, overcoming regulatory barriers, and promoting renewable energy investments. The platform is developed to help connect not only municipalities but other stakeholders with financial resources, aiding informed decisions through detailed cost and payback insights. By reducing administrative complexity, ENERGATE facilitates effective project consolidation and expansion across Europe.
