According to TrendForce's latest survey, NAND Flash prices continued to rise in the second quarter due to the nearing end of the server terminal inventory adjustment and the demand for large-capacity storage products stimulated by AI, but due to the high inventory of PC and smartphone buyers, the NAND Flash bit shipments in the second quarter decreased by 1% quarter-on-quarter. According to TrendForce, SK Group, which includes SK hynix and Solidigm, maintained its No. 2 position in terms of revenue in the second quarter, with AI demand significantly increasing Solidigm shipments, while PC and smartphone demand was revised downward, with its bit shipments declining slightly quarter-on-quarter and average selling unit price up 16%, resulting in a 13.6% quarter-on-quarter increase in NAND Flash revenue to $3.716 billion in the second quarter. As AI will continue to drive demand for high-capacity enterprise SSDs, SK hynix plans to increase the proportion of enterprise SSD shipments to 40% in the long term. https://lnkd.in/gMSSJxwb
