Thrilled to meet a fearless leader of like mind in Christa Hill at yesterday's Supplier Diversity Day! 🌟 Connecting with others who share our values and hunger for change is invaluable as entrepreneurs. One of the greatest benefits of events like this is discovering other entrepreneurs where partnership potential is sky-high! 🚀 Reflecting on the compelling dialogues and shared stories from the Supplier Diversity Day, we're even more committed to driving positive change within our industry. The passion and dedication to diversity and inclusion we witnessed are truly inspiring. Thank you to Canada's 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC), CAMSC and Supplier Diversity Alliance of Canada for hosting us. In the world of leadership development, it's time for a revolution! The status quo is stale, dominated by a homogenous group of individuals with prescriptive, off-the-shelf solutions. 📚 But here's the thing: True leadership development needs to embody the qualities of adaptability, creativity, and inclusivity. 🌈 We can't learn to adapt by sticking to the same-old. Embracing difference is what forces us to grow and adapt. 🌱 We might not fit the traditional mold of leadership development experts (or even leaders!), but that's our strength. Together, we'll co-design solutions that truly meet your needs. Let's innovate and lead with purpose. 💼👥 #LeadershipDevelopment #Innovation #Adaptability #Creativity #Inclusivity #SupplierDiversity #Entrepreneurship #Inclusivity #PartnershipPotential #FutureIsInclusive #ChangeMakers #amazinghair
Every once in a while, I attend an event where I meet people who feel instantly familiar as if I've known them my entire life! Is it the hair that feels like home...... what could it be??? You know, the ones speaking on a panel, and you find yourself wondering, "How are we only just meeting TODAY?!" A huge shout-out to Canada's 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) for an incredible afternoon of discovery with founders who are just like me, yet distinctively different. 🏳️🌈 I'm so grateful for the opportunity to have met them. Special thanks to Jess Robinson Lychak 🏳️🌈 (MA, PCC) & Kerri Robinson, MBA, ACC (of Precipice Development). It was a delight connecting with you today!

The separation of white and black Kumuls players during meals or social activities reflects deeper social and cultural dynamics. Despite being part of the same team representing Papua New Guinea, historical divisions and societal norms may influence interactions. It's crucial for team cohesion and national representation that players mix and build relationships beyond these divides. Encouraging shared experiences can foster unity, understanding, and collaboration. Team-building activities, inclusive social events, and open discussions about these issues could help bridge the gaps. Ultimately, creating an environment where all players feel valued and connected is essential for the team's success and the spirit of unity they represent.

Today, as we celebrate World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, we at Empanda are reminded of the incredible richness that cultural diversity adds to our lives and work. It enhances our creativity and brings us closer together, weaving a stronger, more connected community. At Empanda, we believe that true innovation and growth stem from a foundation of inclusion. By welcoming and celebrating every culture, we ensure that everyone’s voice is not just heard but also cherished. This commitment to diversity is at the heart of what we do and who we are. So, let’s start stepping out and reaching across cultural lines. Try something new, learn about a different culture through music, clothing or language. How do you celebrate cultural diversity in your everyday routines? Do you explore different cuisines, or perhaps the philosophies and traditions that resonate with you? Share your experiences with us. Each step toward understanding and valuing diversity is a step toward a more inclusive, vibrant world. #CulturalDiversityDay #LearnAndGrow #InclusiveSociety

🌟 Embracing Diversity: Celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month 🌟 As May unfolds, it brings with it a profound opportunity for us to come together in celebration of the vibrant tapestry of cultures that enrich our society. Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is not just a commemoration; it's a testament to the invaluable contributions and resilience of these communities. Like so many of us, I am steadfast in my commitment to diversity and inclusion, recognizing that our collective strength lies in our differences. As an ally, I am deeply inspired by the stories, traditions, and achievements of our colleagues of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander heritage. Their voices, experiences, and perspectives are integral to our shared success and growth. Whether a part of the AANHPI community or an ally, it's incumbent upon us to actively listen, learn, and amplify the voices of those whose experiences differ from our own. Let's seize this moment to deepen our understanding, strengthen our bonds, and stand in solidarity with our colleagues and friends. 🌺 How do you plan to support and honor Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month? Your partnership matters—share your thoughts and join the conversation! 🌺 #aanhpiheritagemonth #diversityandinclusion #celebratingculture

⚡ Glenn Micallef (Malta), the youngest commissioner nominee, gets the EU portfolio for culture. What can we expect? To the extent it matters, the Labour Party, of which Micallef is a member, has developed an extensive national programme for culture. Some of its key focus areas include: ➡ Working conditions in the cultural sector: the upcoming launch of Malta’s Charter of the Status of the Artist, reducing income tax, and creating new spaces for artists (such as studios and rehearsal areas). ➡ Access to culture: developing public spaces, facilitating children’s access to cultural activities, promoting reading and modernising libraries, and introducing a Culture Pass for young people under the age of 25. ❗ Malta's current Cultural Policy, adopted under the Labour Government, is one of the few national cultural policy agendas in the EU that acknowledges the multifaceted role of culture in climate action, describes culture as a 'public good', and sets an ambitious vision for its role in well-being. 🤔 Culture is grouped with 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 within the same Commission portfolio. What can we expect from combining culture with 'intergenerational fairness' in the same portfolio? Can this lead to greater interest in viewing culture as a means to envision the future, rather than merely reflecting on the past?

In a world increasingly dominated by digital interactions, are we losing the essence of genuine human connection? I recently explored fascinating "third places" that are redefining community engagement across the globe: • The Seco Sports Hub in Vietnam isn't just a fitness center - it's a vibrant community melting pot • Free fitness classes, community gardens, and cultural performances bring people together • Imagine spaces where seniors do Tai Chi, families picnic, and neighbors learn from each other These spaces prove that meaningful connection transcends age, background, and digital barriers. They remind us that belonging isn't about location, but about intentional community building. What are the third places in YOUR life? Where do you find genuine human connection? Share your thoughts in the comments and let's spark a conversation about rebuilding community. Curious to dive deeper? Watch the full exploration here: https://lnkd.in/gE9eYPkQ

🌟 Chinese New Year 2025: A Journey of Celebration and Connection 🏮🐇 Hosting the Chinese New Year 2025 event was nothing short of magical! 🎉 Standing in front of such a vibrant crowd, feeling the energy and excitement all around, was an experience I’ll cherish forever. From engaging with the audience to entertaining them with meaningful performances, every moment was a reminder of the beauty of unity and shared traditions.
