The Presentation at Harvard was a great success, with some wonderful feedback from the students: · “It was incredibly inspiring to learn about the vital role of animation in educating both the scientific community and the general public on complex scientific topics and emerging technologies. The innovative use of animation to demystify intricate subjects is genuinely impressive! · “Thanks so much for the talk! It was incredibly interesting hearing what you guys do and seeing the scope of science/medical animation. Really inspiring!” Here are some slides from the presentation. If you're interested in inspiring your students through the intersection of Science and Art, please feel free to reach out to me! 😊

Here are some achievements to celebrate ad the second (and final) semester of my graduate degree starts and before I am nothing but piled under the thesis research. My academic article was published in the European Animation Studies blog: https://lnkd.in/gckZbSq9 This is my first ever academic article published but I work every day to add to that amount! I also attended my first academic conference at UFVA 2024 in Cleveland. I was part of a panel “Textual Politics - Fandom's Power in the Media Economy“ with my presentation “How I Was Drawn Into It: Fan Art, Fan Merchandising, and What It Means to Brands.“ And now back to research...

After 3 years of Void Art School successfully running i understand some things in life, - people love to see saleable things, big colouful building, a crowd.. etc not sure about the course infrastructure. - job guarantee - Actually nothing in this world is a guarantee, but making your skills polished ensures that. but they ask me before joining this course. - fees- even it’s much lower than other to just help people, our country have almost middle class level they don’t afford high paying courses like outside, but still they ask for discounts, and i got scammed too sometimes. - not attending asking for videos only, that will not help anything. -foucs are reducing day by day on artistic skills, learning only software will not help. please think before joining the course, it might not be valuable to you but it can save other seats, passionate people out there who can’t afford really high paying courses. I teach only less and dedicated people , always 6-8 peoples group. so can’t waste the seat for another important person. visit here for more if you are really serious in life : voidartschool.com your free channel: https://lnkd.in/gvwmuvne

In the realm of immersive art and entertainment, Meow Wolf stands out not just for its kaleidoscopic, mind-bending exhibitions but for its profound commitment to using art as a vehicle for social impact and community development. Founded as an artist collective in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Meow Wolf has evolved into a significant force in the experience economy, redefining what it means to engage with art. Under the leadership of Julie Heinrich, Chief Impact Officer, Meow Wolf's mission transcends the conventional, weaving together creativity, inclusivity, and societal change. At its core, Meow Wolf is about immersive experiences that invite participants of all ages to step inside the mind of an artist. The exhibitions, spread across locations in Denver, Las Vegas, and soon in the Houston area, offer a unique blend of art and storytelling, where every narrative is interlinked, creating a vast, interconnected story universe. This innovative approach to art is not just about spectacle; it's about creating a space where art becomes a shared, tactile experience, fostering a deep connection between the audience, the artists, and the narratives they explore. Julie Heinrich's journey with Meow Wolf underscores a narrative of creativity and community. The organization's inception as an artist collective was a response to the restrictive nature of the traditional art scene, aiming instead to build a community grounded in generosity and inclusivity. This ethos has carried through to Meow Wolf's operations today, with a significant emphasis on hiring local artists and creating art that is accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. The Meow Wolf Foundation, led by Julie, embodies the organization's commitment to leveraging art for societal benefit. The foundation's initiatives focus on art access, healing, and transformation, particularly targeting grassroots projects, BIPOC-led or serving organizations, and youth-focused initiatives. This strategic focus not only amplifies underrepresented voices in the art world but also demonstrates a belief in art's power to catalyze positive change within communities. One of the foundation's notable strategies is its emphasis on supporting projects that make art accessible to broader segments of the population, including those in rural or underserved areas. By funding programs that, for example, facilitate school trips to cultural spaces or promote cultural sharing in indigenous communities, the foundation ensures that the transformative power of art reaches beyond urban centers, touching lives across diverse social and geographical landscapes. Before I start this post and in celebration of International Women's Day, I'd like to extend a special thank you to the women who have made the MSIDT program at CSU Fullerton impactful for future instructional designers and educational technologists. I'm feeling nostalgic today, so I wanted to take you on a little trip back to my first semester at CSU Fullerton. I remember working on a project that was much more than an end-of-term assignment. It was a chance to combine my hobbies with my professional growth and explore the world of digital production workflows. Full disclosure: I wanted more from my term-end project and wasn't satisfied with the current project. So, 48 hours before the deadline, I rolled up my sleeves and created a separate project. I developed a learning module using Polycam to create digital assets and integrate them into Unreal Engine 5 for virtual environments. My goal was to explore workflows and create an engaging educational experience. Some key reflections looking back at the project: 📺 Using different types of media can make learning more engaging. 🎨 Creative suites like Adobe allow for rapidly creating interactive and immersive learning experiences. 📖 Storytelling is essential to creating memorable educational materials. 🔄 Testing and improving based on feedback is more important than perfection. Let's reflect on our past learning design and development experiences to improve future ones. What projects have you been reminiscing on lately and why? Let me know below in the comments. Also, if you want to check the project (😬😅 viewer beware—it has its rough edges), I've linked it below in the comments. #InstructiuonalDesign #CSUFullerton #MSIDT #ElearningDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth #UnrealEngine5 #Polycam #ContinuousLearning

It's been an incredibly busy teaching period since September, with my book commission work in the mix too. However, with current marking of Contextualising Practice 1 for Level 4 and module planning for Semester 2 on the Illustration with Animation course. It's been a great period of reflection on the development of my teaching these past few months. Initially, I was curious to how CP1 could be a challenging, fortuitous and reflective module for the individual and their narrative. Yes, it's great to learn more context on the history of art and design, however I feel it never speaks to the essence of an individual. Where does creativity come from? Why am I apprehensive or anxious in the pursuit of creativity? An overview of art and design history could never help the individual fully realise their potential as a creative. With lectures centred around Sketchbook Dissection, Courage to Create, Interpretation and Failure. It allowed students to be introspective and self-aware of their creative abilities and of other practitioners. This is evident in their Reflective Essays and Reflective Journals (see pictured). The level of insight written within their essays is surprising and spectacular. It gives me great optimism for their development on the course. Not only in their ability as a creative, but an autonomous person within society. Bring on Semester 2. Photos courtesy of IwA Instagram Account. https://lnkd.in/e5NG3KAz
