Hiring for DGM \ GM - Grid & Power Evacuation. #solar #solarrecruitment #solarhiring #hiring #recruitment #solarpower RESPONSIBILITIES:- Detailed engineering, Project planning & Management : • Electrical Balance of plant pertaining to Sub-station (up to 400 KV), Switching stations, and related transmission lines, from concept till commissioning of wind farm, which shall also involve • Review of designs that will meet industry standards and specifications, and meet good engineering practice with excellent constructability. Scrutinizing of civil engineering documents pertaining to eBoP systems of wind farm is desirable. • Conducting power system feasibility studies- independently with in-house tools and jointly along with the utilities/consultants • Maintaining good working relationships with OEM’s, material suppliers, contractors, and any others that affect the quality, schedule and cost of projects. • Draw up plans, proposals and budgets for new projects/extensions of projects in conjunction with the relevant team, and financial staff. • Coordinating and facilitating the various support functionalities like land, legal, finance, installation and the operations team in their discharge of duties.  Initiating and managing the grid connectivity application process  Lead the transmission line route survey studies for 33kV, 220 kV,400KV voltage levels.  Lead and supervise during the construction phase of projects i.e., transmission lines, pooling substations up to 400kV, terminal bay at CTU & STU substations etc.  Responsible of resolving RoW issues for transmission lines along with the Contractor  Interactions with Central Transmission Utility, State TRANSCO’s, CEIG/CEA, Discoms, Consultants, Contractors, and other relevant stakeholders, etc.  Lead on site teams of transmission line/Substations and evacuation system  Monitoring and reporting of the Sub-EPC’s performance and the evaluation thereof  Support and lead public consultation and stakeholder engagement efforts with local communities, landowners, etc. Material Management: Support to SCM for Material procurement, contracts management & vendor development including vendor identification, deployment requirement, rates and contract finalization, review of vendor performance and initiate remedy. Maintenance management : Deep understanding of electrical equipment’s used in EHV/ HV systems and its troubleshooting methods is desirable. Software's knowhow: Knowledge of drawing tools-AutoCAD, project management tools-MS-Projects/ Primavera, MS-office etc. Qualifications and competencies:-  Electrical Engineering from reputed university  Formal Qualification (Construction, Engineering, Project Management)  15+ years working experience in a Transmission line construction & Evacuation approval project environment – supervisory/management role. Mastering the Art of Electrical System Cost Estimation for Complex Facilities As a Quantity Surveyor, working on complex electrical installation projects that required a deep understanding of diverse voltage systems. In particular, the Underground Dam 1 project presented an interesting challenge, with voltage ranges spanning from 11kV all the way down to 12V. Let me walk you through the intricate power distribution network that we encountered: The 11kV medium voltage (MV) system served as the backbone, utilizing high-quality XLPE cables sized from 70mm² to 185mm² to transmit power throughout the facilities. This MV network fed the strategically placed miniature substations, where step-down transformers converted the voltage to 550V, 400V, and 230V for the low voltage (LV) distribution. The LV systems, powered by a variety of cable sizes from 2.5mm² to 180mm², supplied the motors, lighting, and other electrical loads within the underground stations and workshops. Meticulously designed motor control centers (MCCs) and ring main units (RMUs) ensured the safe and reliable operation of these LV networks. Further down the line, we encountered the critical systems operating at 110V and 12V, which were responsible for control, instrumentation, and specialized applications. Properly quantifying the control panels, transformers, and specialized cables for these systems was essential to ensure the reliability and safety of the overall electrical infrastructure. As the Quantity Surveyor, understanding the technical intricacies of these voltage ranges, power flow, and equipment specifications was paramount for accurate cost estimation. I worked closely with the electrical design team to thoroughly analyze the load calculations, equipment requirements, and installation considerations. My approach to quantifying the electrical components involved meticulous attention to detail, leveraging my technical expertise and commercial acumen. This allowed me to provide reliable cost estimates, manage the procurement of specialized materials, and effectively coordinate the installation and commissioning of the electrical systems. Mastering the art of electrical system cost estimation for complex facilities requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and commercial awareness.
