Continuous improvement 👇 I enjoy learning new things and improving my skills in order to improve continuously. I guess it's a good combination with being an owner of a small business since you need to master many subjects. Many of you know what I mean 😏. One skill I had the opportunity to improve a couple of years ago was knowledge and understanding of Japanese cultural and economic elements that define and explain Japanese business etiquette. I took training at the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation, "Get Ready for Japan" 🗾, which was comprehensive and ambitious, with many knowledgeable lecturers in different fields. I have always been interested in Japan, so this was beneficial not only on a professional level. The training helped me further deepen my relationship with my Japanese business partner and build trust. We are continuously working in cooperation to develop the market for THE HONEY OF SWEDEN in Japan. Recently, I was interviewed by Mishel Reali at the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation about my experiences from the training and about doing business in Japan. Japanese kindergarteners learn to call animals with a -san. Elephants = ぞうさん = Zou-san Lions = らいおんさん = Raion-san Ants = ありさん = Ari-san Rabbits = うさぎさん = Usagi-san Pigs = ぶたさん = Buta-san etc. If you run into someone walking a dog and you want to talk about it, you shouldn't call it dog = 犬さん = Inu-san because it sounds too cold as a salutation for a family member of the other person. Some dog owners may be offended. So you should instead call the dog わんちゃん = Wanchan. わんわん = Wanwan is the Japanese equivalent of Bow-wow, and in baby-talk, dogs are in fact called わんわん. Similarily, cats are called にゃんちゃん= Nyanchan as often as 猫さん = Neko-san, as にゃん or にゃー are the Japanese equivalents of Meow. Let's address animals correctly 😂.
