Earlier today, Nathan and Alex from TLFA visited the charity hub at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough to meet the cystic fibrosis unit. The purpose of their visit was to present the amazing staff with the THPUA Q4 donation of £500. This contribution will go towards supporting the unit's vital work, which includes providing essential medical care, research, and patient support services 👏

Meet Elizabeth, our Board President at the Endo Forward Foundation! 💛 In this video, she shares her excitement about where some of the funds raised during NTX Giving Day will go—and it’s all about pushing forward education and awareness for endometriosis. For Elizabeth, this mission is personal. After spending 14 years searching for answers and being told by over 40 doctors that everything she was going through was “normal,” she finally learned the truth—it wasn’t normal, and she had endometriosis. That’s why she knows firsthand how critical it is to spread education and awareness about this disease. With the funds from NTX Giving Day, we’ll be creating educational resources, raising community awareness, and pushing for better care so that no one has to go through what Elizabeth and so many others have endured. Your support is helping us break the cycle of misdiagnosis and misinformation, and it’s changing lives. Thank you for standing with us. Together, we’re making sure every Endo Warrior has the knowledge and care they need. 💛 Donate Here: https://lnkd.in/gfseREfv #northtexasgivingday2024 #endometriosissurgery #endometriosissupport #patientadvocate #endoforwardfoundation #endosupport #nonprofitlife #EffEndo #endometriosiswarrior #nonprofit #endometriosisawareness #makingadifference #youmatter #chronicillnesswarrior #endostrong #dallas #texasnonprofit #dfwnonprofit #austin #austinnonprofit

Today is World Asthma Day. 🤒 In New Zealand it's a significant issue affecting people's lives and ability to work. One in seven children (13 percent) aged 2-14 years (110,000 children), and one in eight adults (12 percent, 452,000 adults) are on some form of asthma medication. And that's the ones that have been picked up by the system and diagnosed. There will be plenty more. If you have someone on your team who has asthma themselves, or they have a child with asthma; this can be a very tricky time of year with asthma attacks. These can be debilitating and require time away from work and school/daycare to fully recover. They will need your support and understanding I had a significant acute asthma attack myself a few weeks ago that sent me to emergency care. It can come out of nowhere and come on very quickly. Education is key and the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation NZ are fundraising to teach more practitioners how to manage patients with asthma and other respiratory conditions. Please help them by donating if you can. I'd love to see more people in the workplace educated about asthma, able to identify the signs, and know what action to take. You could even save a life. And you could just be an awesome colleague for taking good care of your people.
TODAY IS WORLD ASTHMA DAY! We are raising funds to offer free asthma and COPD training to healthcare professionals nationwide (usually $135). The more funds raised - the more Kiwi health professionals are up-skilled! A $20 donation will get you in the draw to win some great prizes. Please remember that no donation is too small. If you can, please donate here: https://lnkd.in/gKTXYuE4
