A prime example of our expertise in this area is the lighting of the Sint Katelijnekerk in Mechelen. In this project, we used both direct and indirect lighting techniques to emphasise the impressive interior architecture of the church and create an inviting, spiritual atmosphere. ✨ Direct lighting: This method specifically emphasises certain architectural elements, such as altars, works of art or historical building elements. This emphasises these important details and brings them into focus for visitors. 💡 Indirect lighting: Subtle lighting of the walls and ceilings creates a uniform background brightness that harmoniously illuminates the entire room. This technique creates a soft, calming lighting mood that invites contemplation and reflection.
