Together with partners such as Genus Care, Jill Mulder and his great team, we together drive innovation that creates value for everyone using it. - The service user will experience less isolation, being able to communicate both with relatives, care givers and alarm recieving centre operators and respondents. - Relatives can easily share images and glimts of whats going in in their life to create a sense of belonging and include near and dear ones living indepently, in care homes and in retirement villages. - Operators and Respondents can instantly establish both video and voice communication, if needed, togehter with the alert - directly in the user interface for all incoming alerts - and also act accordingly to provide the best service needed. For many years I struggled to believe the UK aged population and care commissioners would accept a move from voice only based telecare solutions to those incorporating video. Yet here we are in an age where Facetime, Zoom, Teams and many other video-based applications are in common use and used by many elderly people. It was noticeable at this year’s TSA Conference how many suppliers are offering devices with video elements, either for face-to-face video chats/consultations or leveraging video-based technology to detect falls and activities of daily living. I suspect the application of such devices is likely to explode over the next few years and would suggest monitoring organisations need to be able to integrate such devices at speed. Whilst the move to digital is proving to be problematic and I welcome TSA’s latest report on this issue, video was never a starter over analogue. Is it not time to fully embrace digital technologies and quickly ditch analogue based devices? The opportunities for innovation in the digital world are endless.

Have you used VISUM 24's functionality of converting isochrones into network objects? This feature along with Model2Go technology helps to perform quick accessibility analysis which previously took days if not weeks. In the attached video, I demonstrate the capabilities of this feature using a model of Zagreb created with Model2Go. By integrating the public transport (PuT) supply network, I've generated PuT isochrones from a major station, illustrating travel times to the main station. But here's where it gets really interesting: picture layering in population data on top of this. Understanding the number of people residing within various travel distances to the main station becomes invaluable intel for city planners. This analytical approach isn't limited to PuT stations; it can be applied to any point of interest (POI), such as educational or healthcare facilities. By assessing the demographic composition within specified travel time thresholds, authorities gain insights to support strategic planning and resource allocation. #PTV #Model2Go 😎
