Please correct me if I'm wrong here ... Our current default construction method for high-density housing is towers. These typically consist of: - Cast-in-place concrete structure - Cantilevered balconies - Aluminium curtainwall facades That means we are using: - The lowest performing envelope system - The highest embodied carbon facade - The worst thermal bridging detail possible Am I missing something here? #architecture #embodiedcarbon #carbon #architect

🏗️🤔 Did You Know? The Empire State Building: A Steel Marvel Did you know that the Empire State Building, once the tallest building in the world, is a testament to the strength and versatility of steel in construction? Completed in 1931, this iconic New York landmark utilized over 60,000 tons of steel to create its framework, showcasing steel's incredible capacity to support skyscrapers reaching into the heavens. The Empire State Building's construction was not just a marvel of its time but remains a significant example of steel's pivotal role in modern architecture. It demonstrated how steel could be used to construct high-rise buildings quickly and efficiently, with the Empire State Building itself being erected in just over a year - a feat unheard of at the time. This iconic structure symbolizes the innovation, durability, and strength that steel brings to the construction industry. It paved the way for future generations of skyscrapers and continues to inspire architects and builders worldwide. At Patriot Erectors, we draw inspiration from such architectural milestones, integrating the same strength, flexibility, and efficiency of steel into every project we undertake. Let's build the future together, one steel beam at a time. #SteelConstruction #EmpireStateBuilding #ArchitecturalMarvels #PatriotErectors

In busy commercial spaces, effective drainage solutions are essential to the efficient operation, curb appeal and health of the property. Still, not every space is the same, and a one-size-fits-all approach to drainage will not always be effective. This is where customised drainage solutions come into play. Download this whitepaper to learn how custom drainage systems are uniquely capable of meeting the challenges faced by today’s building projects. https://ow.ly/3kwG50TqzZJ Stormtech Grates and Drains #drainage #stormtech #customdrainage #architecture #design #aussiearchitecture #commercialarchitecture

The most meaningful way is to experience great architecture first hand. Take a tour of a great building, regardless if it is guided or solo. Recognize how magnificent spaces impact your mood. Don't get caught up in why or how, just experience and enjoy. #You Think We create #architecturaldesign #formwork #RAFS #Rudra Aluminium Formwork System

🔍 Have you ever noticed these inclined columns in modern buildings? Inclined columns, also known as diagonal beams, are structural elements increasingly seen in contemporary architecture 🏙️. Unlike traditional vertical columns, these columns are positioned diagonally to serve a specific purpose in enhancing stability and structural strength 🏗️. 🌬️ Why use them? Inclined columns help distribute loads more effectively and provide excellent resistance to lateral forces, such as wind or seismic activity. By transferring the weight of upper levels toward the foundations, they strengthen the structure while enabling unique and innovative architectural designs ✨. 💡 Not only are inclined columns functional, but they also add a modern aesthetic to buildings, blending safety with style in a single feature! #Engineering #CivilEngineering #Architecture #Innovation #Construction
