"Elon Musk is now kingmaker in the United States, and Europe could be next. And if Musk’s brazen intervention in American politics pays off, then Brussels should be prepared for Silicon Valley’s influence to grow more partisan and aggressively political." Chris, I would respectfully offer that Silicon Valley's influence/lobby has always been out-sized. It is also more opportunistic than most lobbies and follows whither the winds of political power blow. Musk's alignment with the current party in power is nothing new or more alarming than past Silicon Valley influencers, just more crassly overt.
Indeed Chris, this feels like a bad James Bond movie, where the main villain won the fight and now controls the most powerful country in the world. And we are next.
Well written and well stated, Chris. I only pray action is taken.
Thanks for sharing 🙏
