And so another workweek ends for many ... Today's Friday, November 15, 2024 ... and it's less than a week until one of the U.S.'s major family holidays / gatherings: Thanksgiving! A time to gather and reflect. A time to give thanks for all we have. A time to sit with others we haven't seen in a while. A time to eat more turkey, yams, and cranberry sauce than we ever did! But this Friday Funday offering isn't about Thanksgiving -- I'm quite sure many others will find wonderful memes on the topic, though! This is just a group of leftovers before the holiday even starts, ones I never got around to using. Hope you enjoy, and even better, I hope you see the fun posts from the other Friday Funsters: Britt Crawford, Chris Lenz, David Reed, Jeremy Ben-Israel, and Julian Torrez. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭! It gets even better with our Sunday Funsters and Punsters: Nick Smethurst, Rochelle Heath-Harris, and Steve Elliott! Of course, by now many of you are also following them, right? 😁 𝐎𝐡, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 13 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥! 💖As always, let's 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧, 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞, and 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 while we can! #FridayFunday #FridayFunsters #Laughing #Laffing #Jokes #Humor #Humour #RooksRocks * * * * * * * * * ✅If you like this post and want to see more ... 🏃🏽Click "Follow" on my profile. 🔔𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 "𝐚𝐥𝐥" 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬.

🦃 As we dive into Thanksgiving week, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on what we're truly grateful for—especially as we enter the hectic holiday season of work, family, and everything in between. In marketing we often focus on metrics, campaigns, and results. We’re driven by deadlines, strategies, and pushing the boundaries of creativity. But this week, I want to encourage us all to step back for a moment to appreciate the bigger picture: the relationships, the opportunities, and the lessons that come with both success and setbacks. As a Media Marketing Consultant, I’m incredibly thankful for the chance to work with such inspiring clients, collaborators, and industry peers. The work we do is about more than just selling products or services—it’s about connecting people, telling stories, and creating experiences that resonate. While we’re all busy planning campaigns and anticipating the season’s rush, let’s not forget the human element. After all, 79% of consumers are more likely to buy from brands they feel emotionally connected to. That’s the power of authentic relationships, something we should be thankful for and focus on as we work through the end-of-year push. In the midst of the madness, let’s remember to express gratitude for the small wins, the teamwork, and the growth we experience along the way. Wishing everyone a meaningful and peaceful Thanksgiving holiday week! Take a moment to reflect, recharge, and appreciate the journey.🤎 #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #MarketingWithHeart #HolidaySeason

They Taught Me Thursday 🙏 In just 2 weeks we will again celebrate Thanksgiving. Warm meals will be feasted upon, warm gratitude will be shared, & warm memories will be made. So, what am I doing at the proverbial Thanksgiving table 2 Thursdays too soon? Reflecting on an unforgettable moment coincidently nearly 3 years to the day! It was an early November evening at our office as I sat alone at my computer. Momentum growing by the second, I was actually getting ahead on my task load, an accomplished proactive feeling for the Rookie Field Marketing Director that was me. Though the actual clock said, “Go home, Brown! It’s after 9 pm!”, my energy clock said, “Come on, Brown, work just a little longer!” *click* *click* *click*…and then IT happened. A shared file, a backbone of one of our key systems, went absent of all the data it housed. It was there, then it wasn’t…like the cruelest magic trick, sending me into a panic the complete opposite of Kevin McCallister in ‘Home Alone’ when he realizes he, “made his family disappear.” No, it wasn’t a filter; no, I hadn’t hidden any columns; but no, I couldn’t reverse it, as a greyed-out undo icon taunted me, “Better luck next time!” I was up a creek without a paddle…or even a boat. But then Sarah Trimmer showed up. She saw my SOS e-mail, & immediately moved to help, getting online from home when she frankly didn’t have to. I often remember hearing that many studies show 8/10 people will only see the problem; & 2/10, will look further to find the solution. Brilliant Sarah is 1 of those 2 in any group of 10. She is a solution thinker & an action taker. She is a strategic planner, infused with innovation & creativity. She is resilient, adaptable, & bottom line: she is a winning leader who takes care of her teammates. Well, the file got fixed & all order was restored. No, I wasn’t banned from all Microsoft platforms, & yes, I am still trusted by my teammates with important files. Sarah, thank you again for coming to the rescue. Don’t plan on me ever forgetting what you did, nor your values driven impact. Fittingly, it’s simply a file that can never be deleted…even by me. 😊 #theytaughtmethursday #hibbett #citygear #jd ‘They Taught Me Thursday’ is a collection series of reflections upon pivotal leaders from my career. There is no rank order, only an abundance of them! Read more on Instagram @geartownbrown 😊
