Building Better Health Care Together 🚀 Today's panel, Building Better Health Care, was filled with very useful advice for early-stage founders navigating the complex world of healthcare innovation. Key insights from the discussion: 👉 Start conversations where clinicians are—meet them at conferences, identify key opinion leaders (KOLs) via keypapers, and nurture relationships through active outreach. "Familiarity breeds trust" - Dr. Zhong Wei Khor. A great way to engage? Offer collaborative opportunities like joining publications. 👉 Know the standards—GDPR, MDR compliance, and C5 certification are non-negotiable. Make sure your product checks all these boxes before moving forward. 👉 Take it step by step—Don’t jump straight into clinical trials. Your product needs to be measured and ready because in healthcare, you only get one shot. 👉 Be collaborative—Work on research topics together with clinicians and apply for grants as a team. Medical advisory boards are a great tool—clinician-to-clinician outreach is easier, and offering equity (with vesting schedules) can make partnerships even stronger. 👉 Be where your audience is—If you’re in Germany, focus your efforts there. Big thanks to Dr. Zhong Wei Khor, Michael Huebner, and Jan B. Elsner for their honest insights. And of course, none of this would have been possible without 🇺🇦 Maren Lesche, Kseniia Choni, Alexandra Argenal, and Susa Horvath from the amazing Vision Health Pioneers Incubator team! Let’s continue the conversation and keep building healthcare solutions that truly make a difference. #HealthcareInnovation #Collaboration #VisionHealthPioneersIncubator #BetterHealthcare

The kid's health innovation category HLTH USA The Digital Health Hub Foundation - Digital Health Awards is one of the most exciting because of the needs, and specific structure: Parents add a unique intermediary (not unlike caregivers for older patients), that confound the approach: If you segment the categories of problems from the parent perspective, it falls something like: 1) The parents do everything “right” to treat their kids and need additional tools for convenience or getting past a pediatritions schedule. 2) The parents might not be educated (medically or common sense wise) enough to understand when there is an error. E.g. perfecting peds—or when there are prescription errors and parents don’t catch for whatever reason. 3) Parents don’t know there is an issue. Let's take a strong look and categorize whether issues are parent related, pediatrician related, or tool related. These lead in to the types of focus, investment, and feasibility in terms of technical development. Shout out for additional insights to HLS team at HTEC Nemanja (Nick) Kovacev, MD, PhD, and maybe Robert Mittendorff, MD, MBA for later stage investment theses here.
We love to spotlight amazing companies innovating in Digital Health! 🙌 Congratulations to our 2024 Quarterfinalists in Kids Health 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Stay tuned as we continue the journey to find the Best in Class for 2024, culminating in a Grand Finale at HLTH USA!
