#poetry Theme “Restoring Joy: Title Navigating Loss and Finding Hope”: "How do I find joy?" were the words he uttered. "I have only Dad left, oh my, I'm useless." "How do I have joy?" were the words she uttered. "I only have Mom left in this country." Feeling a bit remorseful at their predicaments, I braced myself to offer them my complement. But got interrupted by the wailings behind. "How do we have joy?" they both uttered. "Mom is gone, Dad is gone, we don't have an option. Who will we find to trigger our function?" Looking at the four faces, What I saw was great blazes. What should be my words of compliment right now was what I pondered on. Their backbone and heartbeats are now exiled To places they can't reach out to ask for their guide. With boldness surging from within, I couldn't help but scream out these words. "The joy you all have lost, I promise you, it can be restored, If only you can understand That humans all have to be exiled Into the lands of the unknown. And know that only those who don't lose their joy at this expense Can restore back the emptied presence. And what I want you to believe is that You see, when all this happens, either the agony of missing the dead or the agony of facing challenges, Once it doesn't affect your joy, They are all on an errand, And their arrival will surely come around. **Until the Lion Learns to Write** Until the lion learns to write, His name will die in shadowed night, The hunter’s boast, a hollow breath, Will dance upon the shores of death. The lion’s roar, the earth’s deep cry, Is stifled by the hunter’s lie; His spear, his blade, they carve the tale, While truth beneath the ink grows pale. O mighty beast, whose eyes have seen The rivers turn, the forests lean, The fire that cracks the moonlit stone— Your silence cuts to flesh and bone. For who will speak of battles grand, Of savage strength, of lion's hand? Who will remember, as they weep, The nights you soared in shadows deep? The hunter’s quill, with bloodied ink, Will paint you weak, and make you shrink. Yet still your spirit, fierce and wide, Will rage where all the truths collide.
