Consumer warning about LG fridges. Some companies choose not to make it right when mistakes are made, a company like LG has a problem, they’ll happily take your hard earned money but won’t fix a clearly defective part. I don’t fix appliances, but felt obligated to share this, it’s an example of how large companies choose to treat their customers. If you’re in the market for a fridge, research your options carefully! We bought a LG last year, it failed last week and wasn’t usable for another week while a warranty repair was requested and performed. 1 year fridge for 3k? Come on guys. Isn't it nice when a store goes a LITTLE BIT above and beyond for their customers?? Here goes the story please bear (I could use a beer) with me. I purchased a refrigerator November 2022 and about a month ago the fridge wasn't cold and freezer was fridge temperature. I quickly called a repair guy and he opens back panel in freezer and the coils are clean sparkly (supposed to have thin layer of ice on it). It's a $1,000+ repair to change. Being that it's value was about $700 wasn't worth the repair. I call the local appliance store and I tell them the story and while they apologize for being past the 1 year warranty and not eligible for a new one they offered me this. --> Deduct $50 off the price of the new one and not charge me for delivery and haul away of the old one. <-- Is that major? NO Did they have to offer it? NO But it makes customers happy and want to keep the business there as opposed to going elsewhere!! TAKEAWAY is even doing something small for the customers is appreciated!! Have you ever experienced great customer service where they went above and beyond?? P. S.
