This was one of my last entries in my 2017 Planner. Between thesis preparation and internships, it was a roller coaster of a year. I wanted to make sure I had better guidance for the new year, so I wrote down these rules: 1️⃣ Hold yourself accountable at all times; don't be too afraid or too proud to admit your mistakes 2️⃣ If time isn't a factor, stay longer and give more. Better to spend your time putting in extra effort than wondering what you could've accomplished 3️⃣ Don't set high expectations for things you can't control. In situations of that nature, it's best to remain patient & present If you look closely, you can faintly see 'TAMPA' in giant letters. My 2018 bucket list was on the next page 💪🏼❤️ It’s satisfying how my past self’s insight still applies so strongly to the present day. #Graphicdesigning internship Task 3: The objective of this task was to "Create a visually appealing and user friendly website layout". For this assessment, I created a website layout for a Stationary brand including its homepage, its main product listing page and several internal pages.

𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲? Graphic designers can relate to this, especially when you're doing an internship. Everyone expects you to learn everything in one day, 𝗠𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆: it goes back 19 months. I went to an office through a friend's reference. It was my first time, and on my first day as an intern, I met the senior sales manager. He guided me and explained everything that needed to be done. I went there for just one day, and the next day, I received calls asking why " Kyun nahi aye ap ab tak". I replied, "You hired me as an intern, not to do the work of a senior designer. 🎉 Day 75: The Final Milestone of the 75-Hard Challenge! 🎉 🚀 **Day 75 as a Graphic Designer** 🚀 We did it! 🎨✨ After an intense journey, we’ve finally completed the 75-Hard Day Challenge as a graphic designer! This adventure has been filled with creativity, late-night client meetings, balancing academics, and an internship. From conceptualizing ideas to bringing them to life through design, these 75 videos showcase a range of skills and creativity. 📚 Balancing Academics: Alongside this challenge, I managed to keep up with my studies and prepare for my exams. It was tough, but the discipline and time management I developed were invaluable. 🕒 Late-Night Client Meetings: Working late nights, brainstorming with clients, and delivering projects on time taught me the importance of dedication and effective communication. 🌟 The Journey: It’s been a long road, filled with highs and lows, but the satisfaction of completing this challenge is unparalleled. 🌟 "One Week of Learning as a Graphic Design Intern at 3rd Eye" 🌟 The journey began with a tiresome grind of internship search, multiple interviews, and finally landing a good internship at 3rd Eye Events & Advertising. Every day here is an opportunity to learn something new that expands my creative horizons. This incredible week of learning wouldn’t have been so wholesome without the constant guidance of Brijesh Gajjar, Dheemahi Shukla, and Khushbu Patel. Their support has been invaluable on my journey at the workplace. ✍ Key Learnings of the Week: 1. "𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬": Creating content that stands out as the "apple of the eye" 🍎 2. "𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧, 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭": Making designs and mockups that speak volumes 🎨 3. "𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭": Adapting designs for hoardings, leaflets, backdrops, flags, etc. 🏳️ 4. "𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐰": A software that was alien to me a week ago now feels like second nature 💻 5. "𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭": The crucial role they play in creating balanced designs 📐 These highlights barely scratch the surface of the many personal and professional learnings I've gained. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be part of this amazing team. 🎨 From Concept to Creation: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at My Design Process at Digital Empowerment Network 🌟 Last night, I shared a sneak peek of the social media poster I designed during my internship. The response was amazing—thank you! 🙌 But I wanted to take it a step further, so I created a short video that walks you through the key elements of the design. 🎥 While the video focuses on naming and showcasing the main components, here’s a bit more about the thought process behind each one: 1. Logo Placement: I strategically placed the logo at the top left. This spot is prime real estate in design, ensuring that the brand is immediately recognizable and sets the tone for the rest of the poster. 2. Left-Aligned Text: The headlines, body text, and CTA are all aligned on the left side. This isn’t just about keeping things tidy—it’s about guiding the viewer’s eye through the information in a logical, easy-to-follow way. Vector Balance: On the right side, I added a vector to balance the design visually. It’s the element that ties everything together, adding style without overwhelming the content. Contact Information: At the bottom, you’ll find the contact information. It’s positioned there so that after engaging with the content, viewers know exactly where to look for next steps. The video gives you a straightforward look at these elements and how they’re integrated into the design. This post will be shouting about the amazing work our intern Sana Jayaraj has been doing over the past 4 months. 🧡 Sana has been our Graphic Designer intern for the past 4 months, and we’re so proud of the work she’s done. No coffee runs or basic research tasks found here - working alongside our Creative Director, here’s how Sana has delivered outstanding visuals for us and our clients.  1/ Social media 📲 Sana put together a variety of graphics together for numerous clients during her time with us. Whether it was a client in recruitment, tech or for our own agency, she delivered visuals that not only looked fantastic, but received excellent engagement.  2/ Website antics 👩💻 Without any previous website design experience, Sana attacked this with passion in her stride. She added some fun icons to our site and experimented with colour contrasts, spicing it up in a very Small City way. But she didn’t just do our site - she also assisted in designing a website for a tech client of ours. So yes, her skills are super transferable across different industries!  3/ Photoshoot guru 📸 As Small City was going through their rebrand process, Sana suggested that the Directors should get some sparkly new photos to really showcase our personality. So that’s what we did. After putting together a mood board and ideas for video / stills, we think the end result came out pretty good, if we do say so ourselves.  4/ Animation 📹 Coming soon! Small City’s new website has a very fun video on the homepage. Sana not only filmed the footage, but added some text animations to the video once it had been edited by our Creative Director. It’s funky, it’ fresh, it’s very us. 👀 So, that’s that.
