We should ... if the application demands the need for haptics. The only problem is that there's NOT ONE PRODUCT ON THE MARKET currently ... or in the foreseeable future that is fit for purpose. Consider a Mixed Reality solution instead, where real, physical objects are introduced within virtual contexts to deliver the best force and tactile sensations, allowing users to see their own hands and limbs together with the objects they wish to interact with. Actual tactile experiences rather than inaccurate, poorly mimicked ones.

I've said it before, but I'm impatiently waiting for the #GenerativeAI and the #GaussianSplatting trends to merge. From a creative perspective, we need to be able to manipulate Generative Video as a 3D construct, not final 2D pixels. This dynamic GSplat example from Gracia.AI perfectly illustrate the point. Now imagine that some or all of these elements being combined and edited together are created using Generative AI techniques, either as simple text-to-splats, or driven by 3D control elements using video-to-splats, while still letting you control the camera until the very last moment.
