"अधीते गुरुतल्पेन विद्याधनं समाश्रयेत्। स्वाध्यायान्मूलं विज्ञानं मोक्षं अप्नोति वाञ्छितम्॥" This Sanskrit quote emphasizes the significance of learning from a teacher with humility, for it leads to the acquisition of knowledge. Self-study is the foundation of true understanding, and through knowledge, one attains liberation, fulfilling all aspirations. Summarizing, the quote underscores the importance of seeking knowledge from a guru, absorbing wisdom with humility, and reinforcing it through self-study. Ultimately, this pursuit leads to the attainment of true knowledge and liberation, fulfilling one's desires. Thrilled to share that I have completed my graduation in bharatnatyam through Pracheen Kala Kendra - India It’s been a tough and exhilarating journey. Years of hardwork and patience poured with correct guidance and mentorship by my guru Saraswati mam. Beginning a new chapter in my life and proudly a bharatnatyam graduate now. I would also like to address a a major problem that I encountered during this duration. Delhi University’s recent decision of maintaining 60% attendance actually impacted a lot of students. The idea of college to me was not just to gain knowledge but also to explore and understand my artistic and academic abilities. This attendance rule was brought in to cage students. College is meant to embrace and explore sides of life that interests you and not just force feed students textual knowledge. As a person with a very artistic background it was quite difficult for me to balance out both academics and art. Especially NEP’s continuous assessment format. It recquired us to be looped into college on a daily basis to ensure good grades. But is college just really made to repress a student’s extracurricular abilities. I was also a part of my college’s dance soceity for a good one and a half year. The constant shaming and taunting by teachers never stopped as we were the students who they assumed were of no use in the batch. We were representing our college on levels and pressures that a regular class going student would have never tackled. Why to make places like Delhi university which is considered a hub for artistic and powerful students just confined to this? Are we still prioritising textual knowledge over real life challenges and experiences? Why was this rule implemented in the very first place? #onemorehurdlecrossed #newdegree #grateful #newachievement #achievement #delhiuniversity #du #duattendance #delhiuniversityattendance

5 things semester 1 at Delhi University taught me. 1. The semester just flies by, so spend time with the people you meet, ✨ you’ll learn more that way, DU is DIVERSE TO THE T, and that makes you greatly exposed to local culture at a national scale. 2. The red bricks 🧱 of a university built more than 100 years ago have stored knowledge, listen 👂, absorb it. 3. Professors are more fascinating than your school teachers but nope, never going to be as caring, concerned or interested as your school teachers 🧑🏫 😭💕 4. It is NOT important to be a part of societies, it is NOT THE ONLY way to learn about work culture, more often than not, they are toxic, so surely try out, but seek your own way, to be or not to be, pressure mat Lena 🧚🏻 5. University is the best place for Testing out your little ideas 💡 be it related to work, studies, extra curriculars or relationships. DO IT ✨💌 #linkedingrowth #linkedinforcreators #CUET #delhiuniversity #DUtoday #linkedincommunity #linkedincreator #storytelling #contentcreation #ramjas #girlseducation #education

How is Du's (Delhi University) Postgrad Life Different from UG Life. 1. Conferences instead of fests: We don't really have many fests instead we have conferences, and a lot of them. The speakers might not be a Bollywood celeb, but usually they are a celebrated figure in their own fields. 2. Multiple Places: Many of the master's students are usually affiliated with 2 bodies, one is the college allotted and the relevant department/faculty/Dse etc. and you need to visit both at times but that means meeting double the exposure 3. Diversity: You meet more people from diverse background, some have a work experience, some have finished professional courses, some are pursuing their third degree. The classrooms are way more diverse than UG courses. 4. Faculty: Often times, you would be studying from the very best in their field in the country at least. Most of the professors are multi-book authors and top tier researchers. As the PG admissions begin, I would hope some of the recent graduates consider master's as well. My name is Nilima, and I am from West Bengal. I completed my bachelor's degree in social work from Mangalore University and my postgraduate studies at Azim Premji University, where I earned a Master of Arts in Education. In traditional schooling, as well as in college, we learn about formal education, which involves adhering to specific rules and regulations for both teachers and students. For example, discipline: you must reach school on time; if you don’t, it’s often perceived that you are not a good student or teacher. However, my experience at BeMe has been different. Here, learning happens according to your own time and space. BeMe provides an environment where both teachers and students can freely express themselves. It’s a place where making mistakes is part of the learning process. Another example is child-centricity and the use of resources. We often hear that education should be child-centered, especially when discussing child development. But before diving deeper into this, I want to acknowledge that different people have different experiences with schooling. From what I have seen so far, people frequently talk about being child-centric, but this is rarely implemented—it depends on the place and the situation. At BeMe, everything truly revolves around the children. They express their ideas, likes, and dislikes freely. There’s no pressure or fear regarding their learning. They are empowered to decide what they want to do and what they don’t. Regarding resources, we often hear about the lack of resources for children and how it limits their ability to explore. While people talk about this issue, they rarely consider what kind of resources children actually need based on their interests and accessibility. Instead of blaming the system or each other, we should think about what we can do for those who lack access to these facilities. At BeMe, I’ve learned that providing resources is not just about talking but about taking action. It doesn’t matter how much we can provide; even small efforts make a difference. What matters is creating awareness and teaching how to make the most of what’s available, like reusing materials. This gives children the chance to explore and learn through trial and error, drawing inspiration from various places and people. Reflecting on my past and present experiences, I find my time at BeMe to be enriching and fulfilling. It’s been a wonderful experience working here. "Learning through mistakes creates a fearless environment, which fosters safety and growth for everyone."

Why are most of the graduates unemployable? . . Because most of us are spending the whole day attending college lectures which have zero addition to our skills and exposure. And not to forget how much the 2-3 gap hours help :) Do you really think NEP aims to improve education framework with the attendance mandate or is it just doing the other way around?
