From a late-night idea at Collision Conf, sparked by Geoffrey Hinton's talk, to securing our first paid 🇺🇸 contract within a week of incorporating - the momentum has been relentless. Fast forward 12 months, and we've: ✅ Launched our SaaS tool at Collision and were invited to showcase it at NVIDIA GTC in San Jose 🇺🇸 & represent Canada 🇨🇦 at Viva Technology in Paris 🇫🇷 with SCALE AI | Canada's AI Global Innovation Cluster ✅ Completed Movement51 Founders Lab & currently in 500 Global Accelerator ✅ Hit our first 6-figure revenue milestone with more deals on the horizon ✅ Featured as top 100 Startup in Canada by FoundersBeta ✅ Built ASCEND, our LLM decision-making framework None of this would have been possible without our small but incredibly passionate team. Slush promised a human-generated event, and I’m impressed by what they delivered. I had great meetings and chats, but also the people on the many stages were very human. Here are a few of my favourites: NVIDIA ‘s co-founder Chris A. Malachowsky talked about the struggles they had (30 years ago when they started!) to find product-market fit. But what resonated with me the most were his insights about the culture they wanted to build from days and how their strong culture made it easier to make decisions as they grew. Mati Staniszewski from ElevenLabs revealed their evolution from starting with hobbyists to now having enterprises representing 70% of their business. Yet he was highlighting that even in B2B relationships remain paramount. Uniphore ‘s Umesh Sachder shared a unique approach: testing new launches with their biggest customers, contrary to standard startup advice. This is how they have worked from the early days on. His focus on building trust and intensively listening to customers has what I believe been central to their success. Leaving slushy Helsinki, I’m inspired by the humanity that I encountered at the event during the AI boom. Technology’s true power lies in human connections. #slush #helsinki #ai #humanity

Is it scary? Is it an expression of hope for a new tech revolution? Both? As I walk the strets of San Francisco, counting the numerous tech companies swag I see (amongst a sea of On shoes - wait, how did this happen 😂?) I recognize the power that this city holds to attract talent. AI comes about in every conversation, every startup here has an AI component, one way or the other. The real estate market, affected by the pandemic, gets resurected by generative AI startups (office space leased by AI companies surged 46% in 2023 to 3.6 million square feet - source https://lnkd.in/dJcNycTh) The gold rush continues. The emphasis across sessions like the B2B SaaS Founder Breakfast w/ Soma Capital and AI Unleashed: Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been clear: now is the time to explore and integrate AI tools into every aspect of our work. As Anthony Pompliano said, the startups that solve real problems will thrive, and those who don’t embrace AI now risk being left behind. Discussions at Intellectual Capital for Tech Startups Hosted by Teampulse highlighted the importance of protecting intellectual property in the digital age. Meanwhile, the Funders & Founders Happy Hour by Diadem Capital provided valuable insights into how VCs approach early vs. late-stage investments.
