A year ago, I started posting on Linkedin about the genocide committed by Israeli occupation forces on innocent civilians in Palestine and especially Gaza. While I fully understand that LinkedIn is traditionally a professional platform, focused on careers, business, and innovation, I believe that professionalism and humanity are inseparable. All the advancements, achievements, and progress we celebrate in our industries mean nothing if they lack a foundation of ethics, compassion, and respect for human life. True professionalism must include the courage to stand for moral values, to protect human dignity, and to speak out against oppression. Over the past 365 days, the Israeli occupation, with the backing of the U.S. government and the silence from the international community, has carried out massacres and inhumane actions against civilians in Gaza. They have killed at least 41,870 people, two-thirds of whom are women and children. More than 97,166 people have been injured, and an estimated 10,000 civilians remain missing. Approximately 70% of Gaza’s buildings have been destroyed. As a result of this widespread destruction and violence, 2 million civilians have been displaced from their homes. Healthcare access is severely limited due to the blockade enforced by the Israeli occupation, which has permitted only minimal aid into Gaza. Furthermore, with most hospitals destroyed by Israeli strikes, this blockade leaves the wounded with very few opportunities for adequate medical treatment. #Humanity, #Palestine, #Gaza, #Genocide

Khan Yonis, South Gaza, which Israel claims to be "safe", is suffering from a severe lack of essential supplies needed to sustain life (there is no bread or flour) and it is subjected to daily bombing under the siege imposed by Israel. Israel is using starvation as Weapon of War in Gaza based on multiple Human Rights organisations including Human Rights Watch: https://lnkd.in/dwUdD3BD. It is also systematically targeting journalists, healthcare workers, healthcare centers, humanitarian convoys, distribution centers and civilians seeking aids. Important information (to absolutely read) about the current genocide in this 2 posts: https://lnkd.in/dw6dPxHk https://lnkd.in/dtk6ksWy #palestine #palestinianlivesmatter #genocide #gaza #gazagenocide #israel

For over half a century, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been held hostage by a combination of occupation and blockade. This cruel Israeli strategy has kept 2.4 million people trapped and unable to live freely. The core purpose of sieges is to keep human beings hungry, thirsty and cold, so they are weakened, if not defeated. Palestinian children and youth grow up in a society characterised by fear, lack of security, hopelessness and the lack of work, medical services, food, freedom of movement and other essentials. Sieges are among the oldest of military operations. The attacker cuts off the communications and supplies of their enemy, hoping that deprivation, disease, and demoralisation will cause the besieged forces, and the civilians blockaded with them, to stop resisting and surrender. Short of an outright submission, the invader can hope that the defenders’ morale and fighting capability will be so eroded by a long siege that they would eventually succumb to a determined attack. Throughout history, civilians faced the grim fate of becoming prisoners, hostages, or slaves at the hands of invading forces if they were lucky enough to survive. Today, such harsh treatment is widely condemned and such brutality is “protected” by law, except in the case of the Israeli occupiers. The siege itself is always cruel and brutal, unable to maintain hygiene without running water, those inside the blockade will experience cholera, dysentery, and many other diseases. Counting the most basic needs in food and water, every Gazan needs to be supplied with two kilograms of aid per day. For two million inhabitants that makes 4,000 tonnes per day. A typical truck takes 20 tonnes. Simple maths say that the line of trucks to supply Gaza would on each day be at least four kilometres (2.5 miles) long. Today, despite miles of aid waiting at the borders, the colonial occupier deliberately refuses to allow entry, leaving the people of Gaza hostages and at high risk of starving to death 🕊 “You said nothing about Israel holding 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza hostage for the past 16 years” #Ignorant #Racist #reclaimthenarrative 🍉 #AlJazeera

For more than a year, radical voices have promoted violence as a path to security. They claim that bombing hospitals, schools, and shelters in Gaza, resulting in the tragic loss of thousands of Palestinian civilian lives, will bring back the hostages. They argue that displacing Palestinians and expanding settlement projects in Gaza, protecting settler violence, and escalating land confiscation and demolitions in the West Bank will bring "peace and security." They argue that by eliminating UNRWA, Israel becomes more secure. And they assert that by widening the conflict into Lebanon, targeting civilians there, they are creating a safe future. The truth. The reality is just the opposite. Displacement among Israelis has doubled, with mounting losses and failures of military operations. Fear is rising across Israel. Many Israelis are leaving, seeking safety elsewhere. The hostages either killed or still away. The economy is taking a severe hit. The cycle of violence doesn't bring security; it intensifies instability. In reality, this war only serves a small group of corrupt politicians clinging to power. They know ending the conflict could mean the end of their political careers, so they continue this spiral of violence. The photo below shows Palestinian homes and cars burned by Israeli settlers last night, just few minutes from where my wife and four kids sleep. Violence Doesn’t Bring Security, It Serves Corruption and Fuels Instability Real security and lasting peace in the Middle East will only come when Palestinians are granted all their rights, including the right to self-determination. #CeasefireNow #EndTheWar #ProtectCivilians #SaveLives #StopTheBombing #PeaceAndJustice #CeasefireForPeace #StopTheKilling #EndOccupation #EndWar

"US military to air drop aid for Gaza"! "White House looks to make deliveries a sustainable effort." Reads the headlines in our mainstream newspaper today. After 5 months of of killing and maiming thousands of people in Gaza? After 5 months of supplying bombs and weapons to flatten Gaza? After 5 months of destroying hospitals and killing of hospital staff? After 5 months of targeting ambulances? After the killing of journalist and religious leaders ? After 5 months of naval blockade of Gaza? After billions dollars of aid to the genocider ? After 5 months of media propaganda and lies to justify the dehumanisation and killings of the people Gaza? After months of support to starve the people of Gaza? After 5 months of us watching children, woman and man shot, bombed, buried under rubbles, flattened by bulldozer and tanks every single day? After 3 veto votes to deny the World's effort to stop the killings ? After many declaration that your President support Zionist and he himself is zionist? After months of many truly evil intention and deeds ? What does the airdrop aid and 'to make deliveries of sustainable effort' hope to achieve? You lost your global leadership. You have negative trust credit. You cant salvage a tattered and hollow credibility. But perhaps you still can, when you order a cease fire today and recognise Palestinian's independence. And unshackled the leash on your neck. End. #gazaceasefire #gazastarving #freepalestine #palestineindepencence #nomorehumanitarianaidambush.

Listen carefully to the words of former U.S president Bill Clinton about The Israeli-Palestinian conflict, from 2016, “Depends on whether you care what happens to the Palestinians as opposed to the Hamas government and the people with guided missiles,” “They were human beings in Gaza,” the audience member said. “Yes, they were,” "Hamas is really smart. When they decide to rocket Israel, they insinuate themselves in the hospitals, in the schools, in the highly populous areas, and they are smart" "They tried to put the Israeli in a position of either not defending themselves or killing innocents" "They are good at it, they are smart, they been doing this for a very long time" “I've killed myself to give the Palestinians a state. I had a deal they turned down that would have given them all of Gaza... between 96% and 97% of the West Bank, compensating land in Israel, you name it." Now it's been confirmed and documented that Hamas uses hospitals and schools and kindergarten as military bases but it's not new, Hamas Isis does not care at all about the living conditions of the citizens of Gaza. don't forget the 136 Israeli hostages who were kidnapped on October 7 from their home by Hamas terrorists, And every day for them is a hell of sub-conditions that include hunger, violence, rape and physical, mental and sexual abuse. Free Gaza from Hamas, Bring them home. #europeanunion #womensrights #europe #usa

In Gaza, Israeli forces have killed the old and the young including hundreds of elders who carried Palestinian history and memory, and babies and toddlers who were Gaza's future. We updated our interactive platform, Remember Their Names, to include the names of 34,344 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza from 7 October 2023 to 31 August 2024. This staggering figure includes only those whose names and ages could be identified by the Ministry of Health in Gaza. Thousands of people remain missing or unidentified because their bodies are damaged beyond recognition, they have no surviving family to identify them, or the Ministry has been unable to recover their bodies amid the ongoing genocide. Visit the platform here: https://lnkd.in/dsbXPW4K Special thanks to Ahmad Barclay, who volunteered his time and expertise to develop this platform, and the volunteer who helped design some of the figures. #ArmsEmbargoNow
