YDR is STEPping up our game and STEPping up to support people with cerebral palsy by taking on the STEPtember challenge for Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA). Our team are committed to moving our way to 10,000 steps every day of September, rain or shine, which is going to be a challenge! But we are up for it knowing that every dollar we raise will support life-changing research, treatment, services and technologies to help babies, children and adults with cerebral palsy. A baby is born with cerebral palsy every day. They will have problems with movement, and many will have intellectual disability, seizures, problems with vision, hearing or speech. 1 in 2 are in chronic pain, 1 in 3 can’t walk, and 1 in 4 can’t talk. With your support, CPA can provide early detection and intervention therapy which can drastically improve the future of these babies’ lives. It could be the difference between whether a child can walk or talk. We have set ourselves a goal to raise $2500. Could you chip in a donation today to help us on our way? Just jump online to donate now to our fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/gpca6JCk Thanks in advance! Together, we can make a real impact!

I’ve committed to stepping out for Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA) in the fabulous STEPtember initiative- I hope you can help in even a small way! I’m taking 10,000 steps every day in September to help raise funds for those living with cerebral palsy. I’m well over 250,000 steps so far! It’s a small effort from me, but it’s nothing compared to the life-limiting, super challenging and debilitating conditions that people with CP have to endure every single day. All STEPtember funds raised go to CPA — some towards treatments and some to game-changing research. And research is changing things for the better - earlier diagnosis means earlier intervention means helping reduce the severity of CP is just 1 example. I hope you can sponsor me, by donating, every little bit helps.

STEPtember is a month-long challenge to get you moving at least 10,000 steps per day - each! By doing so, the aim is to raise awareness and gather donations for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance to help in the research and support of Cerebral Palsy: 1️⃣ Support Critical Research - your support will fund groundbreaking research for early diagnosis and innovative treatments, reducing cerebral palsy birth dates by 40%. 2️⃣ Provide Assistive Technology - help raise the funds needed to supply essential devices that empower individuals to independently communicate and perform daily tasks. 3️⃣ Improve Lives of Babies - your participation enables early detection and therapies, enhancing newborns’ mobility and communication. It'll be a challenge, but it's worth it knowing we're also fundraising to support people with cerebral palsy. So, let's STEP up together, for cerebral palsy! 💚 #STEPtember #MongoDB #makeitmatter #cerebralpalsyawareness

Kyle's design and web development skills have been invaluable in making Post Stroke a reality. He recently designed and developed our new website which looks incredible! He has over 13 years of experience in UX/Product Design and Frontend Web Development, and it shows. He's also proficient in and passionate about web accessibility, something that's incredibly important for my organization, but should be the standard for all websites. I'm so proud of Post Stroke's new site! Check it out ⬇️ #stroke #strokerecovery #strokerehab #poststroke #nonprofit #web #webdeveloper #webdevelopment #frontenddev #frontenddevelopment #ux #ui #uxdesign #uidesign #productdesign
This past week, I carved out some time to design and build a quick new site for my wife’s nonprofit, Post Stroke. It’s very much an MVP-type project; we have a ton of ideas we’ve yet to build out. But I think it’s a solid first step and a reminder that ‘done is better than perfect’ :) Also, for those not in the know, this month is Stroke Awareness Month. Post Stroke has a ton of excellent awareness and educational content planned. They also just launched their first fundraiser. I’ll post their info below if you know anyone who might benefit from their free recovery education. Obviously, I’m biased, but I’m incredibly proud of her progress. Her work is making a real and lasting impact on the lives of many stroke survivors worldwide. Today is Giving Tuesday – Let’s Make a Difference Together! When my son Julian was one, we noticed something wasn’t right with his vision. He was diagnosed with bilateral strabismus much later, a condition where the eyes don’t align properly. As you can see in this picture, it was clear he needed help. Thanks to the incredible care at the John A. Moran Eye Center, Julian underwent surgery to correct his vision. Even with insurance, the costs added up to thousands of dollars—a challenging expense for any family. For many families, these life-changing surgeries and treatments are simply out of reach. That’s where Friends For Sight comes in. We’re dedicated to identifying and providing eye exams and glasses to children who need it most, regardless of their financial situation. In cases of surgeries, we work with doctors willing to provide pro-bono care and are raising funds to help pay for these expensive surgeries. This Giving Tuesday, I invite you to join us in making a difference. Your donation helps ensure that no child is left behind because of vision problems. Together, we can bring the gift of sight to kids like Julian. Donate Now at: https://lnkd.in/g8uBMh7Q Today, you can make double the difference! Third Sun has generously pledged to match all donations to Friends for Sight up to $2,000. That means every dollar you give helps twice as many Utahns in need. #GivingTuesday #DoubleYourImpact #FriendsForSight #VisionForUtah
