Responsible and safe use of AI and policies on that is an important topic on which INSAIT faculty is working on. Major news on this topic soon from INSAIT :). Great work by Nikola Konstantinov whose research is key to creating AI that is provably safe and secure.

AI and quantum are two areas currently seeing dramatic and rapid advances. Hence this partnership aims to bring together leading researchers from both fields and is poised to produce exciting new results.

Registration: https://lnkd.in/dhyXina9 Abstract: A Generalized Time Series Model for Predicting Indoor Air Quality Across Diverse Building Environments Predicting and controlling indoor air pollution values is essential for maintaining a healthy work and living environment. A straightforward approach for this task is to learn a regression model based on data from outdoor pollutant sensors alongside ventilation system sensor data. However, research shows that this type of prediction is extremely sensitive to the specific building structure and cannot be easily generalized across different locations. In this talk, we will discuss different methods to overcome this problem and present a robust and scalable deep learning architecture that combines data from a cold start period, during which both outdoor and indoor pollution levels are measured, as a static context to encapsulate the site-specific information.

Currently, AI and related technologies are everywhere, including space-related domains. However, it is not enough to implement an AI system, it should also be safe and explainable. From this Thursday, at the Data Science Summit platform, my VoD session based on the PINEBERRY project will be available for viewing. The project is conducted by the MI2.ai team (Piotr Wilczyński, Dawid Płudowski, Przemyslaw Biecek and me) in collaboration with KP Labs, funded by European Space Agency - ESA grant.
