https://lnkd.in/e7jV3Zgv | On 25 October 2024, the European Commission published the ELTIF 2.0 regulatory technical standards ("RTS") as a delegated regulation in the Official Journal of the European Union. The RTS entered into force on 26 October 2024. This marks the final major milestone on full implementation of ELTIF 2.0 and gives managers considering an ELTIF providing the possibility of (certain) liquidity to investors certainty on the parameters within which such entities will need to operate. #RTS #Europe #ELTIF

#FAFSAFiasco A couple of things... 1. Kudos to the GAO investigators. Let's make sure they get our thanks. 2. The hearing yesterday happened at a time when we should be launching the FAFSA to best serve students and families. Let's not forget this piece of the puzzle. We are going to be late again this cycle, which doesn't serve students and families. Let's remind our legislators that we need them to be regularly (not occasionally) focused on this issue and the needed clean up. 3. Will anyone be held accountable for this mess? I am thoroughly confused how we are where we are and only one person (who claims he was planning to leave government anyway) has been held accountable. I mean the investigation is damning. Let's remember that GAO summarized ED’s "poor communication, oversight and leadership" as the main culprit. Well, someone had to be responsible for the poor communication, oversight and leadership, right? 4. The most concerning parts, though, are all of the known issues that have yet to be fixed. And, these are the technical issues. There are also known issues that the House needs to address. Unfortunately, the messiness of the rollout and the countless technical issues means the house won't act on the other set of issues that we all know about and can see first-hand impacting families. 5. The report was cathartic to read. But, it is also very concerning that there seems to be very little confidence that this cycle will be any smoother. Let's keep the pressure on the Syndicate to get this right.

How does your national legislation map to the Universal Classification Schema? An international working group of experts examined global legislation to identify the core characteristics of abuse and exploitation material. These core characteristics have been turned into a set of labels and accompanying definitions that make up the Universal Classification Schema, which can map to any legislative criteria worldwide. This dataset will serve as a foundational resource for hotlines, enabling them to categorize images based on their respective national legislation and establish a mapping of how country-specific laws align with the Universal Classification Schema within the INHOPE network. 🌐 https://bit.ly/3Sxfdu3 Safe Online #safeonline #safeonlinefund #universalclassificationschema #globalstandard #terminology #legislation #StopCSAM #safeonline #innovation #standardisation #fundedbysafeonline
