Here’s a quick guide: Dosage Calculation Formula: Dosage=Epoxy Equivalent Weight×c Where "c" is the correction factor: 1/ For general anhydrides, c=0.85 to 0.9c 2/ For tertiary amine curing agents, c=1 3/ For chlorinated anhydrides, c=0.6 Example Calculation: · Methyl Tetrahydrophthalic Anhydride (MTHPA) has a molecular mass of 168 and contains one anhydride group. · To cure E-51 epoxy resin: Dosage=168 / Epoxy Equivalent Weight of E-51168 ×0.85 This means approximately 77 grams of MTHPA are needed to cure 100 grams of E-51 epoxy resin. Precautions: Anhydride-type curing agents are corrosive. Always handle with care: · Wear gloves, masks, and protective gear. · Avoid inhalation and contact. · Clean thoroughly after handling. IOTA-611 is a #polydimethylsiloxane with an inert methyl group at one end of the molecular chain and #dimethylsiloxane capped at the other end.
